Chapter Nine: The Betrayal

The Dark Throne Chapter:
I opened my eyes and saw around the room I was in. However, it was pitch black dark for me to see a bit. But that was until I heard a finger snap and the lights turned on. I even saw the dress I was wearing. It was a grey ball gown this time, and my hair was just straight.

"(Your Name), I'm so glad that you finally made it. Are you ready to set me free?", Dark asked me as I turned to see him sitting on his throne. I went up to the throne and smiled. "Don't worry, Dark. I got the roses. Now that you have them, I know that you'll be happy and free.", I said as he just smiled at me. "Thank you, my dear. I'm so glad that you did this for me....", he said as I gave him the roses. Dark looked at them and smiled at me. However, he looked evil while smiling. "Because you're never escaping me now!", he said in an evil voice. My reaction turned from happy to in shock. Dark then got up from his throne and used some power of his to summon the book to him. "Dark, what are you doing?", I asked. He gave me an evil smile and walked around me. "Hahahaha!!!! Oh, you foolish girl! You have no idea what you've done? You set me free! That's what! Now I can finally escape this book tomorrow night, and kill that old master of mine. He will pay for what he's done to me.", he explained. I gasped in fright as I heard everything he said. "I knew that there was something wrong about this! You've tricked me! I thought we were friends!", I shouted as Dark laughed manically. "HAHAHAHA!!!! Friends with you? Pfft! I would say, my new queen....", he said as I backed away from him. "What are you talking about?", I asked in fright. "I mean, that you have helped me throughout the times you've been here. And I figured, what's an evil king without an evil queen?", Dark said as he made a tiara appear out of nowhere. It was a black one with red blood jewels on it.

I gasped in fright again and couldn't believe that I've been tricked. After everything I've done for him. He decided to betray me. Mark was right all along. "I will never become your queen! Give me the book!", I threatened him. However, Dark laughed and made the book disappear out of nowhere. "Sorry, my darling... But I don't think that you'll be going back home anytime soon.... But look on the bright side: You'll be a very gorgeous bride to me...", he said while placing his hand on my chin. However, I pushed him off me and looked at him with a glare. "I WILL NEVER MARRY YOU, DARK!", I shouted. Dark then turned angry and made the crown disappear. "Well then! If you won't marry me, then I might as well FORCE you with my powers! GUARDS! SEIZE HER!", he shouted. I then heard the doors opening from behind me, and two demon guards ran to me. I screamed a bit and ran for my life. I was able to escape the room quickly, and continued to run down the long steps and halls of the house. "You can run, but you can't hide, (Your Name)! I will get you, and you will be my bride!", Dark shouted as his words echoed throughout the entire house.

One of the Halls in the House:

I hid behind a statue and caught my breath. I even started to cry a bit after what just happened so far. I can't believe that I betrayed Mark. Now that Dark was free, he's going to kill him and force me into marrying him. "This isn't right... I have to try to stop him, but what can I do?.... Oh Mark, I'm sorry if I betrayed you and didn't listen....", I sobbed to myself. But as I continued to cry, I felt something in the back of my foot. As I turned around, I picked up a glass bottle and found a note on it.

He's only defeated if he gets this potion on any part of him. These are the ingredients:
1. Half a cup of his blood.
2. Half a cup of his tears.
3. Half a cup of his urine.
Once achieved to get these ingredients, stir up well and see them change into the potion that'll make him weak. But be warned: The places where the ingredients are placed, are in the most dangerous places in all of the manor:
1. The Grand Ballroom.
2. The Grand Living Room.
3. The Garden.
   * Don't worry if you don't know where they are. I've left so many notes back in my time when I defeated him. Just go to these locations, and find the notes.

After reading the note, I looked up for a second and couldn't believe it. "Mark wrote these when he was first with Dark? It's like he's actually with me...", I told myself while placing my hand on my heart. But I had no time to be busy standing around. I looked around me and ran to the first location to find the first ingredient. I already betrayed one friend, and I won't do it again. "Don't worry, Mark! I'll make sure that he stays dead...", I said to myself.

Mark's POV:

I tried my best to sleep, but couldn't. I woke up after having a nightmare about Dark again. As I rubbed my head, I remembered what (Your Name) told me today. I couldn't believe that she was actually serious about not talking to me ever again. No wonder why I didn't see her at dinner or to say good night. I felt like this whole thing was my fault. I've shouldn't have made her get into so much about Dark. "That's it, I have to fix this.", I told myself while getting out of bed. As I went out of my room, I went over to her bedroom. I knocked on the door quietly, and waited to an answer. But for some reason, nothing happened. "(Your Name), it's Mark. Listen, I want to talk to you, please?... Please open the door... I don't want our friendship to be ruined anymore. Please just open the door. Pl- Huh?", I said at the door. But as I did, for some reason I saw that the door was unlocked. As I opened it slowly, I went inside the room and she wasn't even there. "(Your Name)? (Your Name)?! Where are you? Where- Wait... What's this?", I said while looking around the room. But I then noticed something on her bed. It was a book. As I turned on the lights and looked at the cover, I was in shock. "Oh no....", I said while dropping the book on the floor.
