"Duncan, Isadora, Quigley?" questioned the eldest, wondering whether she was hallucinating or just sleeping unknowingly.
The Baudelaire siblings, every single one of then - even Beatrice, who had never seen the Quagmires in her long one year of life - was delighted to be reunited with their long-lost friends, who flew off in a hot airmobile home just over a year ago.
It was also kind of awkward to see their friends after such a long time, especially in the position that they had witnessed them - afloat in the basket of the hot airmobile was truly an awe-strucking sight.
However joyfulness and amazement were soon swept away as the Baudelaires started to notice faint details about their friends' well being - the Quagmires were pale, had minor scratches that were not that visible from a distance, and the look of anxiety and mild fear that danced in the triplets' eyes infered to the Baudelaires that something had gone teribly wrong.
As you all might know, the Baudelaires were also remarkably intelligent and observant children, which left them wondering where their old friend, Hector, from the Village of Fowl Devotees, had disappeared.
They, however, decided to leave that remark for a time later, when the Quagmires would be settled and inform them of the latest news they were not caught up on.
The friends clambered hastily upon the Beatrice and set sail.
The triplets had so much to tell their friends, yet it was so hard to find the starting point - they were also very confused as to what will or is about to happen, seeing as all of their guardians are dead and Hector... well, thats another chapter.
"Where are we heading to captain?" Isadora referred to Klaus in a playful and joking manner, trying to cheer up the gloomy atmosphere on the boat.
"We thought about heading to Briny Beach, well atleast this is the route to it," replied Klaus, " but where and what we are going to do there is a big question..."
"I have a better idea," stood up Quigley as all curious faces turned to him.
"We could go to a place where we will find shelter and nobody - and I mean nobody - would be able to reach us."
"What do you mean, and when are you three finally going tell us what's been going on?" Blurted out Violet in an annoyed manner.
She eyed the triplets suspiciously, but they stayed expressionless - Duncan got hold of the steering wheel, while Quigley snatched the map off Klaus and started instructing the way towards Barren Bay.
