Our hearts use to match
In sync like one beat
I use to stare at you through my lashes
Watch you smile as you wink
Then my heart would skip a beat
Our hands use to know each other, like country back roads
Swerving the curves and cruising on the stretch marks
I use to live for your romantic words
But now I see, they were just words
My heart still skipped a beat
Our days use to be so long
I loved it when you "came home"
Together at last at the end of our days
Felt better than money to be at the center of your gaze
My heart is still skipping beats
It's too bad about how you feel now
I'm so sad I can still spot you in a crowd
My love for you is too strong and I just want to move along
I can't let you break my heart again
My heart will stop skipping for you

Spur of Poems
PoetryI don't consider myself a poet but certain lines tend to float into my head and I think they're pretty good. I started writing during a breakup...sorry in advance for all the heartbreak. This is me amiss my spur of poems.
