I truly can't help it
It's like a reflex now
Every time I see a red car I freak out
But once it passes and I uncover my face
I see the tag plate and realize my mistakeI truly can't help it
It's a reflex now
Every time I see something you'd like I reach out
But once I come to my senses and realize you aren't mine anymore
I pull away and try to close that doorI truly can't help it
It's a reflex now
Whenever I see a couple, I imagine them as us
Somehow I see me and you working it all out and being happy again
Then I remember, I wasn't enough and I let the fantasies end

Spur of Poems
