Chapter 5

Everything was going great Ashley got a new job as Angel's assistant and since the court date and moving Ashley's stuff out of the house that Pablo and her once shared, She was all set to restart her life the way it was. The play that worked so hard on for weeks was ready. They had their last dressed rehearsal and the next night was the play. As they started Angel kissed Ashley on the cheek for good luck. They went on as each one did their line and number. The audience loved it. The cast had an after party at another play. Angel and Ashley showed up together and they talked along with the other people.

Angel whisked Ashley to a little patio area. They looked onto the stars. " Ashley can I ask you a question." Angel said " Sure" Ashley said. " Would you be opened to going on a date with me." Angel asked. Ashley with her big brown eyes looked over her shoulder and said " Yes I would love to." Angel smiled " Okay then I will pick you up tomorrow at 7:00." Angel said. " Okay" Ashley smiled cause they both lived in the same apartment.

The night of their date Ashley went and got into the shower. After she was done Angel got in next they both got ready and Angel went and knocked on Ashley's bedroom door. " Ashley you look good as always." Angel said. " As do you to Angel." Ashley said. He extended his arm out and they went walking along to the car. They went to Lakewood in Colorado a small suburb that Ashley grew up in. There was a diner that she remembered they went in sat down and ate there food. She remembers coming to this diner when she was little. After they were done they left the diner and went down a familiar neighborhood. " Where are we going." Ashley asked. " To a familiar past that you haven't been in a long time." Angel said. They stopped at a house that was boarded up. " Wait" Ashley said. They stopped and she saw the house that was in it's delapiedated state. " This is the house I grew up in, I can't believe someone would treat it so cruel." Ashley said

As they left and drove down to the park. " This is the park I went to when I was a kid. That was the pool I got swimming lessons and...." Ashley said as she lowered her head. " What's wrong." Angel said. " I remember coming down to this park. Me and my parents were spending the day with each other. Mom made us breakfast, then after that we went down to the park. Mom and Dad walked slowly as I rode around the lake as fast as I can passing them up about a dozen times. After that we went and got lunch. We were on our way out to Lakeside Amusement park when....", The tears started to well in Ashley's eyes. " When a drunk driver hit us head on. My parents were killed instantly. Some how I survived." Ashley said. Angel wiped the tear off Ashley's face. " I think if they were here today they would see what you have been thru in life and would have been able to understand that everything happens for a reason." Angel said.

They got out of the car and sat in a swing. " So tell me where your from and what brought you to Colorado." Ashley said. " Is it that obvious that I am not from the states." Angel said. Ashley held out her two fingers and held them like she was pinching something. " Well if you must know. I was born in England. My parents both hard working people. My father died when I was young. So my mother did anything and everything to support me and my brother's and sisters. I ended up going to graphic design school then wanted to do a little more in life so did acting school. My mother died and I ended up moving here cause of a good job, plus I like the mountains." Angel said. " Then I will have to take you on the cog then." Ashley said. " The cog." Angel asked lifting an eyebrow. " It is a train that travels up to Pike's peak. It is really neat." Ashley said. " Yes perhaps we should." Angel said. Ashley and Angel held hands as the swung in the swing.
