Chapter 15

The time was getting close. Angel and Ashley were having a decision on what they wanted to do. They didn't know if they want a hospital or a home. They opted for a hospital. Ashley was 40 weeks and patiently waiting the new baby girl that was getting ready to come in this world. The baby's room was all set up and was ready for her to be here. Her bassinet sat in the corner of her room. Ashley and Angel was laying down and looked over. He was rubbing her belly and talking to it. " Soon my Princess you will be here in the world." Angel said. He bent down and kissed her stomach and Kissed Ashley.

That night Ashley felt a sharp pain going over here pelvic area. She didn't think nothing of it and went to sleep. Then it hit hard again. She woke Angel. " Angel, Angel hey we need to go now." Ashley said. He asked while being sleepy. " Where do we need to go too baby." Angel said. Ashley was timing them and made a whimper noise. Then Angel got up. " Oh your in labor." Angel said. " Yes and we need to get going" Ashley said. Angel looked out side and saw that snow was really picking up. He rushingly ran around and grabbed everything need it along with his keys. His wife sitting in the back seat they went to the hospital. Then Angel was driving and hit a patch of ice. Ashley screamed as they spinned and ran into a ditch.

Angel tried to get out but, couldn't so he called 911 and told them what happened. " ANGEL, MY WATER JUST BROKE." Ashley screamed. The 911 dispatch heard it and instructed Angel what to do. He pulled Ashley's pants down and saw the baby was not waiting. He held down the phone and put it on speaker. The ambulance showed up that dispatch was letting them know that the baby was coming. The EMT looked at Ashley. " Okay Angel I need you to sit up behind her and hold her hand keep her calm." The EMT said. " Okay Ashley on your next contraction push as hard as you can." EMT said. She felt it and bare down. Angel behind her holding her hand telling her to push and go. Angel holding her hands along the way. Encouraging her to push. Then they heard it the cry. She was loud and healthy. They load up Ashley and Angel and Abigail and went to the hospital.

Once they got to the hospital she was exhausted and so was Angel. Abigail was in intensive care for now cause how long she was in the cold. Ashley and Angel got some sleep. Angel went to go and get the car towed out of the snow. Then once he did that he then went to back to the hospital. To sit with Ashley and hold his newborn daughter. " Hello my dear" Angel said while he kissed her head. Then he bent down and kissed Abigail's head. " Hello princess Abby." Angel said. Angel sat on the bed with Ashley holding her close.

They took Abigail home after a clean bill of health. Angel was excited as he held his baby girl. They make sure she was safe. There were nights of no sleep and nights of sleep. Each took turns attending her needs. It was time for them to go back to work. Ashley walked Abigail over to Jane's house to watch her. Told her a time table. Ashley was reluctant to go back to work. Jane talked to her and said. " Go she will be just fine I took care of you for most of your life and look how you turned out." Ashley smiled and gave her a hug. Angel was waiting in the car and they both went to work.

As the years passed Abigail ( Abby) grew to be a beautiful lady. She started school and loved it learning everything she can to help pass the time. She was a very bright and gifted child. Her brown hair as long as her mother's. She was also a daddy's girl having him wrapped around her finger.
