Chapter 4

As of her un-planed trip to the hospital wing Mira ended up getting to the great hall later than planned, it was still early for some student for a Saturday morning but Mira had always been more of a morning person like that so when she found her self in the hall at 8:30 and not 7:30 she found that there were more people about. She decided to sit at the end of the Gryffindor table closes to the teacher's table were there was a larges gap from any of her fellow housemates.

Mira had just taken a second piece of toast and was in the process of spreading jam on it when 3 boys sat down around her. Sirius wasted no time in stealing the freshly jammed piece of toast and taking a bite.

"Yo Black did you just steal my cousin's toast, how rude of you."

Mira was broken from her sock that had frozen her in place as she spotted her two cousins Noella Gaia and Noelle Evermonde. (Noel is a family name so there was what felt like ten of them in the family, not confusing at all) Both girls were Gryffindor 7thyears, Noella had dark purple hair that fell down her back the tips almost touching the waistband of her skirt, the girl was quieter compared to her cousin/best friend and often preferred to sit alone with a book on muggle or wizarding history. Noelle, on the other hand, was loud and captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team, her hair was also a lot shorter and bright blue, (to upset her mother) although that didn't mean she didn't study her grades were always an O if not O+.

"Hey Gaia, I didn't know you and Mira were cousins? Nice to see you to captain." Sirius nodded to Noelle.

"Yeah well she got two cousins in Gryffindor, and we would like to know what you doing with our baby cousin?" Noelle stood there with a glare in Sirius direct, hand on hip as Noella looked on in amusement as she could tell Sirius was slightly scared by her friend.

"Snowy, Elle, was there something you wanted?" Mira hoped to end the standoff between Sirius and her two older cousins all she wanted was to be left to eat her toast without fear of it being stolen or a possible fight happening. She knew her cousins loved her, and since both her parents had passed away they had tried to protect her from the moment she had stepped foot in Hogwarts.

"Well Star, I was coming over here to tell Black and Potter that quidditch tryouts are this week and then Snowy sore that Black had stolen your toast so. Anyway, potter, Black Quidditch try out is Tuesdays, show up if you want your places on the team, I don't care how dam good you are if you miss it then your off the team for the year." And with that Noelle turned and left, always loving being dramatic.

"See you later baby cousin." And with that Noella went after Noelle.

"So double N are you cousin, interesting," Sirius said now stealing a muffin Mira had just put on her plate.

"What do you want black, and would you stop stealing my food." Mira tried her best to give her the evilest look.

"That look is all most cute, and you see Mira, I was hit by what you said last night by not having many friends, so I talked to these idiots and decided we are adopting you."

"Yeah, you are now are adopted friend, but don't worry we love you no less." James finished for Sirius.

Mira was slightly taken back by the two boys and tried to look towards Remus and Peter for help. But the pair were both to busy eaten or reading.

"umm, well who says I want more friends?" Mira really didn't know what to think, yes she had been happy with summer as her only friend but she had to admit the past few weeks had been made interesting by Sirius, and there was something about him. Something that wanted to know him better.

"fine, friends."

"Yay, we got Mira!" Sirius screamed and ran and picked up the girl and spun her around. Mira could not help laughing and hoping she would not regret this.

"You wanted to see me, Professor?" Noelle was confused as to why she had been summoned to the headmasters' office.

"good day Miss Evermonde, how have you been?" Dumbledore motioned to the chair in front of him as he spoke.

"I'm very well headmaster, and yourself?" Noelle sat down and looked towards the headmaster, trying to focus on him and not the interesting walls of the office.

"I'm very well my dear, but I did not call you here for small talk. I was hoping to talk about Miss Waters. Your cousin I'm told."

"Yes sir, we are related but I'm confused how that is important? Has she done something wrong? Noella Gaia is also family." Noelle did not know why the headmaster would be interested in her just for her conation to Mira, Noella was also related.

"AR yes miss Gaia, she is a good witch but I feel more into the history and reading then particle magic. You see Mira could be in danger. You are best in your year and I have had interest from the Auro department of you join straight out of Hogwarts. I'm guessing you know the dark times we live in?"

Noelle gave a nod, everyone knew of the dark lord gaining power in the magical world, though was easy to forget when at school and hidden away but she knew her mother had already joined and her sister Lyric planned to once she finished school.

"Well, with all this I feel you are perfect to protect Mira. But I need you to join an order, this order i=has been set up by myself to help protect from the dark forces. The order of the phoenix and I would like for you to join."

"Can I know why Mira is in danger?"

"In time, but first I need to know if you will join?"

It didn't take Noelle long to decide, she unlike her mother and sister had no interested in joining the darkness that wanted to destroy the world she loved, and she would do anything to protect her cousin.

"I'm in."

I feel that these first few chapters are filler just getting to know people, i promise it will get better, i have big plans for this. 3 books in fact. so please keep reading
