We've been at the cabin for a couple of weeks now. This has caused a uproar all the way around. Matt and Jenny are arguing. Me, mom and dad are arguing. Me and Macy are arguing. Me and my friends are arguing. I don't get it. I thought they would all be excited and happy for me. Hell they didn't even like Harper.
I guess since she's been back she's made a mends with all of them. Even Jenny, Jared and Jesse but being my friends they would chose me over her and if I'm happy with Macy then they are happy for me and they understand. Or that's what they say anyway. Jenny and Macy have been planning the wedding. They've got the place. Here. Out in the back. From the looks of it it's only going to be us but we don't care.
They are going dress shopping tomorrow. You ask how we are living. My family is rich but I still have my own bank account. When I was younger dad always gave us an allowance I always saved mine. I never spent it. Unless I needed too. Plus Macy has her hesitance from her fathers death. And that was a pretty penny. Jesse, Jared and Jenny have their own jobs so it's all good. We are still going to school. So don't worry. Tabby is now in a human daycare. Good thing she's smart enough not to tell anyone about werewolves. So all in all we are doing good.
But tonight I have to go speak to mom and dad. Alone. Joy. I'm not even sure why me and Macy are arguing. I think it's just stress on both parts. The wedding and everything that's going on with my parents. So we are just knit picking on each other. After my last class I drive straight to mom and dads.
Once I get their I walk in and freeze in my tracks. I see Harper in the living room looking horrible. Eyes puffy looks like she hasn't slept in weeks. I just wanted to go up and make it all better. To tell her I'm not going to marry Macy. That everything will be okay but I couldn't.
"Harper." I say.
"Keagan." she whispers hoarsely.
"Are you alright?"
"Umm yeah. Fine." she chokes out. I just nod not knowing what else to say.
"Umm where's my mom and dad?"
"Office I think." I nod again going up the stairs. I go to the office and knock on the door.
"Come in." I hear dad say. Mom is sitting on the couch crying. Dad sitting in his chair fuming. Oh this can't be good.
"Keagan." mom cries jumping up from the couch practically running to hug me.
"Mom."
"I've missed you baby." she sobs.
"Missed you too." I look up at dad letting go of mom.
"Keagan I think we miss understood each other." he sighs heavily rubbing his for head. "We are happy for you. Really we are. I guess it was a shock to us and we have concerns I guess. We want grandchildren. We need a alpha female."
"I understand that. Dad we can adopt. Well as for an alpha female she still can be. She just can't go to the meeting with me. She can still take care of the pack and if it's so important to you give the pack to Teagan and Zack. They can do it." dad shakes his head no and snorts.
"No Zack doesn't have the balls to make tough decisions. I swear sometimes that boy is gay." I laugh at that because it's true. Zack is so sensitive. So indecisive. "Besides you worked your whole life for this." I nod because I did I worked my ass off to become alpha. "It's in your blood, it's your title. As far as Macy goes your right she'd make an amazing alpha female. It will be just twice as much work on you I suppose." I nod.
"I can handle it."
"I know you can. As far as grandchildren. I just want our next alpha to have our blood our DNA."
