Chapter 2: Metamorphosis (The unpredictable change)

Years passed and the five remained best of friends. They even decided to be in one University for College.

Samantha Sy, the former stout girl lost the extra pounds and achieved a supermodel figure. She became the campus sweetheart and was the prom queen of their junior and senior year. She took up nursing for college. It would serve as her pre-med course. Despite being in a medical related course, she managed to be a cheer leader.

Kean Lim turned out to be a handsome young man. He was loved by more girls. He took up behavioral science as his pre-law course. He always wanted to be a lawyer.

Damian Chen like his friend turned out to be a very handsome young man who became part of the university basketball team. He took up Civil engineering.

Logan Uy took up architecture as he is fond of drawing houses and building while Christoper Co took up accountancy.

Even when the 5 chose different courses they remained best friends and never fail to allot time together.

They have a condominium unit near their university where they always meet. They watch movies on the LED television or play songs of their own composition. Samantha is a very talented pianist so she plays the keyborad, Kean plays the lead guitar, Logan plays the drums, Chris plays the bass and Damian is the lead singer.

Damian has a very angelic voice and he is the composer of their group.

"We've been playing for quite some time but we still have no name" Logan said

"Hmmmm... How about, Pop 5? Short for popular 5" Chris suggested

"Hey dude that's lame... How about Rock5" Logan said

"Not because we're 5 there should be the number five in our name" Kean said

"Hmmmmmm... Sam changed after she became part of our group... From a stout gurl she became a supermodel. From larva to butterfly. Why not use the name metamorphosis" Damian suggested

"I like it!" Chris agreed

"Yes, that's great... Speaking of Sam, where is she anyway?" Kean asked

"At the library, she took a book needed for her subject" Damian answered

"Oh, okay..." Kean said

"I'm here!" Sam exclaimed

"Oh there you are" chris said

"Damian, I found the book that you are searching for... I saw it while looking for the novel I needed... Who would've thought that the library own such book" Sam told them

"Hey man what's that!" Logan took the book

"The fault in our stars... Hey man since when did you start reading such book?" logan asked

"Give it back... It doesn't matter, I'm just curious" Damian answered

Chris looked at Damian and Damian shook his head slightly.

"Anyway, I still have class at 1 see yah guys later" Logan said

"I'll come with you" Kean said

When the two left.

"Samantha!!!" Damian exclaimed

"What, Damy, it's just a book, a lot of other guys read it" she defended

"Well Dames, you should be careful on how you act it seems like Logan is already suspecting" Chris reminded

"Chris, it's so hard... You're like my brother, it's not hard to tell you and sammy dear you're my sissy so it's never difficult to open up to you but it's so hard to tell the two... Logan and Kean has always express their hatred towards gays... And it kills me to hide it from them"

Well as years passed, Samantha is not the only one who transformed. On their senior year, Damian got caught by Chris accidentally found his diary opened and read it and Sam caught him with Kean's picture under his pillow. Damian admitted that he had feelings for Kean. He admitted the he fell for Kean's charming looks. Well who would not. He also admitted that he got jealous when Sam became best friends with Kean. He got more jealous when Sam transformed from an ugly duckling to the most admired girl in school. He knew that Kean liked her from the start and that he could never stand a chance knowing that Kean is a gay hater.
