        Victoria~

      I finish out the the rest of the day and meet Stiles like I said we would. Seeing him I skip up to him and hand him the disks.

   "What's this ?" Stiles asks and I smile and kiss his cheek. "Watch and find out see you after I get out of detention !" I wave over my head as I walk down the hall.

   "You are not allowed to talk, use your phone, or pass notes in this detention, it will last an hour.....starting now." The teacher says looking down at his watch before continuing on with his paper work. My phone vibrates from my back pocket and I glance up before putting my books in front of me and stack them up. Reaching into my pocket I get the phone out and see a text from Stiles. We need you !!!
Looking up quickly I think up an idea in my head. Clenching my palm I hold it near me and I begin to sweat creating a little fever. Packing up my things quickly I walk up to the teacher.

"Sir I'm not feeling so well." I say the teacher looks up and his eyes widen at my flushed cheeks and sweating skin. "Yes Ms. Sanderson you may leave get to feeling better." He replies as I nod and head out the door. Taking off running down the halls, I get to my car and drive off. Parking it near the preserve, I get out seeing Stiles Jeep. Walking into the woods I follow the distant voices of my friends. Coming upon them Scott turns and waves at me as Stiles looks back. "I watched the disks, holy crap !!" He shouts as Scott nods. I turn away and see a cave and turn back to them. "Why am I needed exactly, I faked an illness just to get out of detention ?" I say crossing my arms as Scott and Stiles look at each other then back at me. "Theirs an underwater cave system and we need you to check it out !" Stiles rushes out and I roll my eyes. "Show me." I say rolling my eyes.

"You want me to explore that ?!" I shout pointing at the murky water and the boys nod.

"Supposedly it leads to the ocean." Scott says as I look at him. "Yeah right were far from the ocean Scotty." I say as Stiles pulls up a map and shows it me. "An underwater cave system ?"

"Oh god if I don't come back the Piranhas got me." I say handing them my phone. "What do you mean by that ?" Scott asks and I turn back to them. "First do you have a flashlight and Two Piranha is a movie about ancient Piranhas killing a bunch of people during spring break."

"Okay well here's a flashlight and be safe, oh wait !" Stiles says suddenly grabbing his backpack and pulling out a long rope. "Here we have one end and you have the other, tug on it if your in trouble and we'll pull you out."

"Pull me out ? Stiles I weigh twice as much with my tail." I say before jumping in the water. Resurfacing I flick my tail and propel myself towards the edge grabbing the rope. "I'll see you guys in a bit." I say and tie the rope around my wrist and light up the flashlight before sinking under. The water is not so murky now and it's kinda clear now. Looking around I spot a entry way and I swim down to it. Following the underwater tunnel it opens up to wide space and I slowly swim up breaching the surface. "Holy Shit." I whisper looking around seeing sparkling quartz and glow worms. "How is this possible ?" I ask myself swimming around the rope beginning to tug at my wrist. I untie the rope from my wrist and set my flashlight down against a rock before pulling myself out sitting on a rock. Looking around I spot an opening above me, into another section of caves. Drying myself quickly I grab the flashlight and tentatively walk up to the opening. Looking back down to the water below me. I take a breath and enter the cave. Walking with limited light is scary, hearing noises left and right has me turning the flashlight in every direction. "Jesus I'm going to die down here." I whisper as I jump as I hear crumbling of rocks and a growl. Dropping my flashlight it flickers before going out completely. "Great." I whisper as I let my hands fall against the cave walls and begin to turn when my eyes catch something. Glowing red dots come into sight and my breathing grows heavy as I take a step back, then another and another. Before I twist and use my hands to guide me as I run back for the water.

Screaming I feel it, whatever it is grab me and pull me back. Landing on the hard ground with a thud I close my eyes. I feel heavy breathing in my neck as it smells me. Screaming loudly it sinks it's teeth into me. I thrash around before it releases disappearing back from where it came from. Crying I slowly pull myself up and hobble to the end of the cave before my knees give way and I fall forward into the water below.

Floating weakly on the surface I float into something hard. And I reach out grasping the rope I tied to the rock. I pull myself around slowly and dive under following the rope blindly, hopeful I can escape from here.

Seeing a dim light I follow it more and it grows brighter before my face breaches the surface. Then the rest of my torso as I take in a deep breath. Sinking back into the water all energy is drained from me as I just let myself float. Shouts can be heard as splashes resonate around me. Next, I feel myself being dragged to the side to be pulled out. "Omg were their piranhas ?!" I hear Stiles shout as I look past him and at the trees. "No Stiles I don't believe a piranha bit her, it's something far worse." Scott says taking my hair away from my neck to see the bite. "It bit me, I found another cave when I surfaced in a cavern, I followed it then I seen it, it's red eyes." I say softly as my breathing grows even and my eyes slowly close.

"No ! Victoria don't close your eyes okay !!" Stiles yells as I clench my fist and dry myself letting my arm fall back against the dirty earth. "We have to take her to Derek !" Scott says as I feel myself losing consciousness.

Being picked up the boys rush with me. Scott holds me as Stiles scrambles to his Jeep. Opening the back door Stiles moves his practice gear to the floor as Scott places Victoria in the backseat. "I don't feel so good." Victoria whispers as she begins to cough. "It burns !!" Victoria shouts as she claws at her skin. Stiles jumps in the Jeep and so does Scott as they race to Derek's burnt down house.

Screaming can be heard from the Jeep and boys arguing at what to do in this situation. Pulling up to the burnt down house, Derek emerges with a scowl on his face but it falls when he smells the scent he smelled a long time ago with his first love. "Help her please !" Stiles shouts as he takes Victoria from Scott's arms and thrusts her into Derek's. He looks down at the pale girl in his arms before looking back up to him. "Theirs nothing that can be done but wait and hope her body doesn't reject the bite." He says but he knows better.

He walks back inside and sets her down on the table as the girl begins to spasm. "She's having a seizure !" Stiles shouts as he turns her on her side as her body shakes. "Come on please fight it, please fight it." Stiles whispers in her ear as tears fall onto her skin. Her seizure stops minutes later as she grows limp. "All we can do is wait." Derek says as he gets a water bottle from a cooler, some of the water landing on Victoria's legs. Exactly ten seconds later she transforms into her other self, but her tail is pale. She screams loudly causing the werewolves to cover their ears from the scream. Her eyes are silver and glowing before her eyes fall shut and her body is still. "Look the bite it's gone..." Scott trails off softly looking up at Stiles.

"It's all my fault if I haven't have texted her, she wouldn't be in this position." Stiles mutters out as tears begin to fall from his eyes.

"Anyone want to tell me just what the hell is going on ?" Derek whisper shouts at the two as Scott looks at him. "She's a mermaid who was bitten by the Alpha....you bit her." Scott says as Stiles head raises and he glares at him. "What color did she say the eyes were huh ?" Derek utters out and Scott holds Stiles back. "Red she said they were red." Scott answers as Derek let's his eyes glow his electric blue. "It wasn't me." He says letting his eyes go back to normal.
