(A/N: YAY ANOTHER CHAPPYYYY)
________________________________________________________________
3rd POV
The sunlight streamed through the parted blinds of a certain (h/c) girl's bedroom. A girl who was currently sprawled across her messily made bedsheets, her pillows scattered across the floor and fresh saliva drooling from her open mouth as she snored.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
That would be the sound of her digital alarm clock.
The 16-year-old grunted before rolling over, covering herself entirely with her duvet.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
No reaction from the figure underneath the sheets.
BEEP BEEP BEEP (that would be 'f*ck you' in alarm clock language.)
There was a loud crashing sound as the alarm clock was flung towards the wall.
Y/N POV
Cheesus Doritus that alarm clock was annoying.
I yawned. Blinked. Scratched my arse. Blinked again.
What time is it anyways?
I glance at my alarm clock, which was miraculously still functioning.
'7:09' it blinked its digits at me. Eh, plenty of time left.
I grunt before rolling off of the bed, dragging myself across the room and pulling my closet door open. I throw on my usual school outfit - which was obviously more tidy than the one from yesterday - and brush my hair a bit before putting on my beanie hat.
I haven't gotten any groceries yet, but I did have some bread and an assortment of other snacks and treats. I grab a slice of bread and slather on some Nutella. I don't have anything lunch-worthy, so I guess I'll just buy some at the school cafeteria.
I chomp on the nutella-bread like those schoolgirls in anime, grab my bag, slip on my shoes and opened the door to find Lynne waiting for me.
"Heyya!" she grinned. "Shall we go now?"
My mouth was still holding on to the bread, so I nod and closed the door, making sure to lock it before we went.
On the way down to the bus stop, which was conveniently placed near our apartment, Lynne chattered away about how Ninjago High is like while I chewed on my breakfast.
We passed a TV shop that was displaying the morning news. I didn't really hear much with Lynne talking, but I heard something along the lines of 'must be tough to be that kid'. I pondered this while taking another bite of my bread.
I'd finished it up once we got there, but Lynne was still rambling about this one girl in her class that she had a crush on. I wasn't exactly experienced in the romance department, and I told her this. She just giggled.
"Oh, don't worry, I just need someone to rant to" she smiled before continuing, " and frankly enough, you're the most open-minded person I know."
I smile back at her. "I'm... uh.. flattered, I guess?"
Just then some blond guy in a green hoodie walked up to the bus stop.
"Hi.....?" he announced, clearly unsure of his actions.
Everyone else ignored him. Rude.
Seeing as no one else was returning the greeting, (also because he was painfully smiling and waiting for an answer), I wave back at him.
He looked kind of shocked, and before he could say or do anything else, the bus had pulled up. Lynne and I climbed aboard to see the all of the passengers ruff housing in there. The bus driver looked very much done.
And then suddenly, as we were trying to squeeze in through the chaotic aisle, everyone froze. They parted like the Red Sea and sat back down in their seats, glaring at the front of the bus.
I looked back in confusion and saw the blond from before, wincing under pressure. The bus driver refused to even look at him and turned his head the other way.
Realising that we were blocking the aisle, Lynne and I plop onto two nearby seats on the right side of the bus. The blond kid awkwardly shuffled up to the seat in front of us and sat down. The rest of the bus cleared off, avoiding him like he was the plague, squeezing themselves into the left side of the bus and making disgusted faces.
What the pickle pops is happening?
The bus lurched forward with a screech, tilting severely to the left due to those people packing themselves like a swarm of honeybees.
After a while I stood up and leaned forward, towards the kid that was apparently the plague.
"Hi."
He made that shocked face of his again, and this time the entire bus seemed shock too. Lynne just smiled softly before leaning in along with me, although she didn't exactly stand up; as if to say that she didn't quite approve of this but she was supporting me anyway.
"U-uh... hi?" the blond squirmed a bit in his seat, barely noticeable.
"What's your name?"
"Uh.. Lloyd." he answered, his voice barely a whisper. Which made it kind of hard to hear him, especially since the bus was echoing with murmurs from the left side.
I stuck out a hand for him to shake. "I'm (Y/N), nice to meet you Lloyd."
He seemed hesitant at first.
Then he grabbed my hand, shaking it warmly; and he smiled.
