When Earth Meets The Sky ( The 100 )

The Ark

For 97 years, we are living in space. People left the earth due to nuclear explosions. We live in a huge space ship which is known as Ark. But Ark is collapsing. My dad is the head engineer of Ark. He found out that the Ark's oxygen supply system is hampered. Within some months, the ark will be unable to reside. My dad wanted to save everyone. But he couldn't inform everyone as it will bring chaos. So he started to find solutions with his co workers Raven and Monty. Me and Mom were aware of the whole situation. My mom is the best doctor of the ark.

There are 3000 people in the ark. Of them 200 are imprisoned for various rule breaking. There is a council. My mom and dad are 2 of the 6 members. And the head is Chancellor Jaha. Rules are followed very strictly here. One wrong move, you are flooded or kept imprisoned.

My dad, after much speculation decided that our only chance to survive is to go to the earth. But he needed to make the council agree. Which would be much tougher. Their were some members who wouldn't agree. So he decided to talk to his trusted friends and make a riot for greater benefits.

And it was successful. They have overthrown the council. And new council is formed. My dad became the new Chancellor. Most of the people trusted the new authority. Now is the time to think about our safety. How to take all people to earth!

Plan is the whole ark will go down by separating it's 12 stations. Today is the day we will start our journey to the earth.

All my life I had a fascination for earth. Any problem I have, I will look at the earth from my window. Peace surrounds me. And I don't know how, I become overwhelmed by love. I know it sounds crazy. But it's true.

We were all feeling the jerky sensation. The stations started to separate. All on a sudden one station bursted. Then another. Then another. After that I don't remember much. When I woke up. I could sense the jerking has stopped. I could hear people. I opened my eyes to see my parents looking at me. Look from their eyes. I knew we have done it. But with much loss.

How many are safe! As if they could understand me. My dad said the Ark and 4 stations have made it. We mourned. But then we remember, we have lots in front of us. And all of us have part to do. I am Ryan Griffin. The son of Chancellor Jake Griffin and Vice Chancellor Abby Griffin.

On the Earth ( POV )
Today's ambassadors meeting was tiring for me. 12 years of mine becoming the Commander. Every day I have to face a new problem. Every night I come in my balcony and look at the sky. I don't know how, but I get peace. I am reassured that I will be alright. And I get overwhelmed by love. I don't know how! I am heda. I was taught that love is weakness. I can't love. Can I?
