Treaty And Pauna

I am sitting in my tent. I have been staying here for one week and treating their people. Their Commander has given us a chance, if we can treat the reapers than they will have a peace treaty with us.

The girl of the throne is their Commender. Her name is Lexa. A beauty with skills. I have seen her practising in this week. She is the best in here in sword fight. Warriors who are 2 to 3 times bigger than her don't stand against her skills. I don't know why, whenever I am around her, I feel I am safe. I feel I can trust her.

Plan is we would built a trap. And our best archers will be at the top of the trees with arrows soaked in sedatives. Also the bait will have hidden spears soaked in sedatives in the surface around it.

We start marching and Lexa joins us. Her advisors are trying to stop her. But who can stop the Heda. So our journey begins.

After 1 hour, we reach close to the feeding ground of Pauna. We are waiting. Archers on trees. Some warriors on caves. Me and Lexa waiting in the cave along with Gustus and Costia. Costia doesn't like me at all. I have seen her complaining all the ride. She throws me dark looks but I really don't care. I am waiting patiently. I look at Lexa and she is waiting too. Both of us are giving each other soothing glances. And I can say it is working. After waiting for 2 hours, we heard movement. But it turns to be a panther. And it is drugged after it steps on one of our hidden spears. Whole night is gone. Instead of Pauna, we get 3 Panthers, 5 dears and 4 goats. Costia is grumping again. And then we hear the roar. Blood is drained from our faces.

Our warriors are at the top of the trees. They have wore leaves so that their body scent is faint. Still after coming to the prey, the Pauna hisses at the trees. And after my signal. All the archers starts shooting at a time. Also it steps on the undermine spears. Still it marches to the closest archer. But before it harms him. It falls and fells asleep. All of us comes close to our preys and Lexa asks me to slay it. But I tell her to do the honour.

At the end, both of us slay it together. We come back to village with a Pauna which weights 2000 kg, 3 Panthers, 5 dears, 4 goats and a grumpy Costia. Everyone starts chanting, Hail Heda! Hail Ryan Of the Sky People!

Before we can rejoice. A woman comes to me hurrying. And after translation from the Commander, I can understand that, her baby is having loose motion. I hurried to the baby and asked them to give me some salt and sugar. With this I make saline and give the baby. And ask her mom to feed him slowly.

Ryan is from the sky. I shouldn't trust him. But every time he is around, I feel safe. I know I can trust him. Each moment I am drawn to him. I must stop myself. I am heda. I can't have feelings. Not love is destined for me.
