Josh didnt know how to properly function at the moment. In Josh's eyes his friend Tyler was the purest sweetest thing on the planet. He was so adorable and giddy. He was so soft and innocent and Josh would do anything for him.
Tyler was the type of boy that would smile and giggle at butterflies, wear overalls and mixed matched socks but he was also the type of person who would get red in the face whenever someone mentioned anything even remotely sexual in his presence.
So to say that Josh was surprised when he came over to Tyler's to surprise him with a cupcake and a gift for his birthday but found the boy sprawled out on his bed teasing himself with a vibrator was an understatement. He never knocks when he comes over cause Tyler told him he doesnt have to, he told him he could just come in and even gave Josh his own key but Josh really wished he would have knocked.
He stopped in the doorway of Tyler's room, almost dropping the cupcake and gift in his hands when he seen what Tyler was doing. When Tyler heard the shuffling from Josh catching the gift he opened his eyes and looked up. "Josh!" He yelped, sitting up and covering himself with his hands, the vibrator falling from his grip and laying on the bed, still buzzing away as the two boys just stared at each other.
Tyler's face was redder than a tomato, his mouth hanging open slightly. His eyes dropped to what Josh was holding and he furrowed his eyebrows slightly before looking back to Josh. Josh cleared his throat. "Happy birthday Tyler." He said. Tyler looked away for a moment, swallowing nervously.
"Uhm t-thank you." He said, meeting Josh's eyes again. Josh took a deep breath and looked away. "I-I should go." He said, going to turn away. "Wait no-... dont go.. I'll um... I'll get dressed.. you go wait on the living room." Tyler said. "Are you sure?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded. "Okay." Josh agreed, exiting Tyler's room and going to the livingroom like Tyler had said.
Tyler on the other hand took a deep breath and looked at the vibrator. He reached out and shut it off before getting up and shutting his bedroom door so he could get dressed. When he headed out to the living room his head was down and he was still blushing.
He sat down on the opposite side of the couch then Josh and just stared at him. "..I'm sorry." Josh said. "Its okay." Tyler said. Josh cleared his throat again. "You um.. wanna open your gift?" Josh asked. Tyler smiled and nodded. Josh smiled too and picked up the little box he brought that had a card taped to the side.
Tyler took the card off and opened it first. The front of the card had little bees and lady bugs on it with happy birthday written across the middle. Tyler smiled at it before opening it and reading the inside. He smiled even more at the little note Josh wrote at the bottom.
Happy birthday ty-guy I picked this card cause of the cute little bugs on the front. It reminded me of you cause you always get excited when you see bugs and stuff :)

Tyler set the card down and began opening the box. He smiled widely when he seen what it was, looking up at Josh. Josh smiled back. It was a little Polaroid camera that Tyler has been saying hes wanted for a few months now. "Josh you didnt have to." Tyler said, carefully taking it out of the box.
"I wanted to." Josh said. Tyler smiled at him again, crawling over to give him a hug. "Thank you so much. I love it." He said. "You're welcome." Josh whispered. Tyler sat back and played around with it for a moment before he figured out how to use it. He then leant against Josh's shoulder and held the camera out.
"Smile." He whispered. "Ty I-" Josh went to protest about his picture being taken. "Smileee." Tyler giggled. Josh sighed playfully but smiled, letting Tyler take the picture. Tyler gently took the picture once it printed and shook it until the picture developed. He smiled at it before showing Josh who also smiled.
