"Laur? Baby, wake up for me a sec." Dinah murmurs, brushing the hair out of the girl's face. "I've got to pick Ally up, do you wanna come or would you rather stay here? It won't take long."
"Sleepy." Lauren mumbles, unhappy at the disturbance.
"Okay, baby. You go back to sleep and we'll be back really soon, okay?"
"'Kay, 'inah." She sighs tiredly, her eyes closing again.
Smiling softly, Dinah presses a kiss to the little one's forehead before covering her with a blanket and leaving the house.

"'inah?" Lauren calls, sleepily rubbing her eyes as she looks for the older woman. "'lly?"
The shorter blonde hadn't been there when she'd fallen asleep but that didn't mean there wasn't a chance she could be there now.
Pulling her blanket tighter around herself, Lauren makes her way upstairs to check for either of the women.
After looking in each room, she heads tearily back downstairs and into the garden just in case they had decided to go outside. "'inah? 'lly?" She calls again, jumping at the sound of thunder before rushing back inside the house, getting soaked by the sudden downpour of rain.
Once inside Lauren hurries to lock the back door and then grabs her phone off the kitchen table, running into the office to hide under the desk as she hears another round of thunder.
It takes a few tries for Dinah to answer the phone but by the time she says 'hello', Lauren is already sobbing.
"'inah!"
"Lauren? Baby, what's wrong?"
"'m scared!" She cries, feeling her heart race as it continues to thunder.
"It's okay, sweetheart, we'll be home soon. We're just having to drive slow because of the weather, honey."
"You leaved me!"
"What? I told you where I was going, Lo. I asked if you wanted to come." Dinah ask, sounding both confused and concerned.
As she goes to reply, a bright flash lights up the room causing Lauren to scream and cry harder.
"We're coming, baby. Just hold on a little longer, okay? We're nearly back. Talk to Ally, sweetheart, I need to focus on the road."
"Hey, angel. Talk to me, yeah? Can you tell me about your favourite movie?" Ally suggests, trying to keep her little one calm.
"It- it's g-got Nala." Lauren sobs harder, wishing she had her Nala to look after her right now.
"What else, baby? We're nearly there."
"An'- an' Sssimba."
"That's great, honey. Why do you like it?"
"'ions are m-my favourite. A-an' there's singin'."
"You're doing so good, baby. We're pulling up now, okay?"
"'Kay." She whimpers.
"Okay, angel. We're right outside, we're coming right now."
Before Ally and Dinah can even make it through the door, a soaking wet Lauren throws herself towards them, clinging to the older women as she cries.
"Oh, baby." Ally soothes, easing the girl further into the house so that Dinah can shut and lock the door.
"Why are you all wet, Laur?" Dinah asks softly, not wanting to cause the little one any more emotional stress.
"W-wasss lookin' for yo-u." She cries, calming a little when the taller blonde lifts her into her arms and carries her up to their bathroom, Ally following behind.
