Apparently I'm in the mood for writing again. The next one will probably be up soon too.

It had been about a week since the incident at the club and Dinah and Ally had barely seen the younger girl. She had been spending less and less time with them, choosing to either stay at her apartment instead. When she would appear for a few hours she would be quiet and reserved which confused the older two women a lot as she was finally starting to get more comfortable around them.

It was currently Saturday and Lauren was supposed to be coming over soon but had just texted the two to tell them she was busy.

"I don't get it, Ally! It was going so well!" Dinah sighs, her head in her hands as she leans against the kitchen counter.

"I know, babe. I don't know what it is either, hopefully she'll talk to us soon."

————

Normani sighs, swinging herself out of bed at the sound of yet another of Lauren's nightmares. The raven haired girl had been having them every night for almost a week and was yet to tell her what they were about. She spares a glance at Camila, the little one curled up in the blankets with her thumb in her mouth and a content smile on her face. She smiles briefly before hearing another sob and hurrying out of the room.

"Laur? Hey, honey what's wrong?" She coos, perching herself on the edge of the mattress and reaching out to rub her hand up and down the girl's back. "Can you tell me, Lo?"

"D-don't wwwanna." Lauren cries, struggling to get her words out.

"You can talk to me you know, babe. I just wanna help." She offers, only for the girl to turn around and sob into her pillow. "Okay, okay, you don't have to tell me, that's it calm down. You wanna sleep with me? And Mila?"

This just makes her sob harder, she didn't want to sleep with Mani, she wanted her Ally and her Dinah!

"Lauren, you need to calm down, babe. You're gonna make yourself sick. Can you tell me what you want?" Normani speaks calmly, hoping that she can calm the girl by being patient with her. Camila always wanted to be held when she was upset, well Camila wants to be held all the time but especially when she's upset, so the fact the Lauren didn't want that kind of left Normani feeling a bit clueless.

She sighs again when all Lauren does is shake her head and continue to sob.

"Do- Do you want me to call Ally and Dinah?" She offers gently. The younger girl hadn't told her of anything that had happened but she knew something was definitely off by the amount of time she was spending at home.

"No!"

"Why not, honey?"

"The-they'll be mmmad."

"Why would they be mad, Laur?" Normani asks with a frown, Dinah and Ally seem so nice.

"I d-don't wan' them to gooo!"

"Go where, babe? Are they going somewhere?" She asks confusedly. The more Lauren tried to explain, the less sense it made.

"Nooo." Lauren whines, Mani wasn't getting it but she didn't want to tell her either.

"I'm gonna get you some water, sweetheart, okay? Your throat must be starting to hurt by now, hm?" She smiles softly at the still crying girl before standing up and making her way to the kitchen. She grabs her phone off the counter, turning it in her hand as she debates on whether or not to call her roommate's caregivers.

She sighs as she hears Lauren's cries pick up again and makes the decision to just call.

————

"Hey, Mani. Thanks for calling, where is she?"

"In her room. I gotta warn you though, she didn't really want me to call you. Something about you guys would be mad and she didn't want you to go somewhere? Are you going somewhere?"

"No of course not, and we would never be mad if she needs us. I kinda wish Ally wasn't at work though, she's better at the words thing than I am." Dinah sighs, running a hand through her hair.

"You'll be fine. I took her a glass of water but she wouldn't touch it, she just got more upset when she saw it."

"I've got a bottle in my bag, mind if I fill it up?"

"Of course not, go ahead." Normani smiles, leading the younger woman into the kitchen and watching as she fills it with milk and heats it.

"Mama?" Camila mumbles, tiredly rubbing at her eyes. "Lolo cryin' gain'."

"I know, baby. Dinah's gonna look after her though. Come here, honey, why are you up?" She smiles softly, lifting the little into her arms and swaying side to side.

"Had'ta potty." The small brunette shrugs, sucking on her thumb again as she turns to Dinah who is grabbing the bottle from the microwave and shaking it up. "You look af'er Lolo? Make her happy 'gain?"

"I'm gonna try my best, sweetheart." The blonde smiles gently, picking up her bag again before saying goodnight to the two girls and excusing herself to find Lauren.

She knocks twice on the door before pushing it up slightly and entering the younger girl's bedroom. "Lauren? Hi, sweetheart, what's going on, mh?" She whispers, easing herself down onto the side of the bed closest to the raven haired girl.

"'inah?"

"That's right, baby. Think you can tell me what's got you so upset?"

"Had a bad d'eam." Lauren whimpers, anxiously playing with the tag on her blanket.

"You wanna tell me what happened?"

"Nuh uh." The younger girl cries, looking down.

"That's okay, you don't have to. But if you do want to tell me then that's fine too. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"

"...C-cuddle?" Lauren asks hopefully, a vulnerable look in her eyes.

"Of course, baby. Whatever you want. You want this baba too? I brought your favourite from home in case you wanted it."

"P'ease?" The green eyed girl breathes out, how did Dinah always know exactly what she needed?

"C'mere, babe." The blonde smiles, getting comfortable in the bed and holding her arms out. Before she can blink, Lauren is already cuddled against her, her legs over the top of the older woman's and her fingers tightly gripping the collar of Dinah's top. "Here we go, love bug." She coos as the smaller girl eagerly latches on to her bottle, the warmth of the milk calming her and lulling her back to sleep in a few short minutes.

"Sweet dreams." She murmurs, pressing a gentle kiss to the little one's head as she tugs the blankets up to cover them both before pulling the girl closer and closing her eyes.
