Chapter 9

Claire

After everything Dexter and Olivia quickly fell asleep as soon and i tucked them in. I went to Winter, Kyle, Gabe and Graces room and was reading them their favorite bedtime story. Once it was done I saw they were all asleep. I turned on the nightlight and off the main light. I shut the door and left the room. I walked downstairs for the main party but once the moon is out the adult party starts which means mostly we let the young run free in wolf form whenever they like and with peace between the other four packs we have a very large area for them to run. there are only so many worries but mostly they are smart tomorrow it the true fight for the young.

(10 minutes before the party)

"Okay everyone the pups will be here soon let's make sure they eat enough and drink plenty of water. Tonight is going to be hard for the first change and we need to make sure they stay safe for it that includes their human bodies. Every child is at a different age and we can only hope all of them because sometimes some children get missed," I look around and smile as all the adults were ready or the night." Ally don't forget the Ice cream."

"already in the freezer waiting to be brought out i have 10 containers of almost everything." Ally said

"I have to go pick up the pups do yo have a number on how many cars i need to bring to pick them all up." Micheal asked.

"For our pack there needs to be 10 cars for Ally's pack there needs to be six, for Austin's pack i believe he said 7 or eight cars and for Charlie's pack he told me he needs 9 cars. Each pack has to be ready and i need my warriors to start checking all the borders of our home and the same goes to the other packs." I said 

All the warriors bowed and ran out of the house to begin to check for enemies nearby. Micheal and a few other trusted people got into there cars and began to pick up all the youth that would be changing tonight.

(Drop of time)

"Good evening pups from all four pack tonight is the night that you and your wolf finally become one and you can learn more about yourself. The best advice i can give you is to not fight the pain you will have tonight. I will not lie the first shift will be very painful and can last up to an hour. We have doctors waiting near by to help if needed. Once the shift starts we can't stop it. I hope you all have a wonderful night after you shift. And to my triplets Happy Birthday I can't wait to see what wonderful wolves you all become." I finished my speech and then looked at the other Alphas.

Ally walked you and began to speak." To my Young wolves remember that even tho tonight is supposed to be fun be on high alert. We have not been attacked in a long time since we all signed the peace treaty with our sister packs. that does not mean it won't happen. On this night a lot of you might come back hurt but if you stay safe we will lose nobody. Once you shift i want you to take some time to smell everything and everyone. If you smell something that smells like death or not from here mind link your Alpha. We will tell you what you need to do."

Next Charlie walked up. " Okay we don't have much more to say but here's my part to all of this. They have told you about the shift but the hardest part is choosing your Alpha to follow or leaving the pack forever. The choice is yours to make. Now changing packs may seem hard but trust me there is no hard feeling about it. Your familys all had to chose on there first shift and so do you all. Some of you might think that leaving everything behind is a good thing but remember you will lose one family and maybe gain a new one.  but the choice to take you is up to the alpha. I wish you all luck tonight and i hope that you all pick your homes wisely."

Lastly Austin walked up. " This is the last part. Eat till you can't eat anymore. You need lots of energy for your first shift. You body will use a lot. once you shift you will feel hungry its up to you all once you pick your Alpha to find food. Learning to hunt is importance for a  new wolf. The better the hunt the better the wolf. Once out there please all young wolves be safe and be back here by first light. now that that is done.
