Rushing down the smooth, curling, marble stairs; I leap down like a frog off the third to last step. Ignoring my fluffy unicorn slippers, I head in barefoot into the kitchen ready to make breakfast for everyone. Let me introduce you, I'm Lyra, average girl, youngest, meh anyways you also have my closest friends, Aidan, in his room a lot playing games, Rina, a bit dense but is actually really smart, Matty, usually negative and doesn't believe in his talents and John, the oldest and only legal adult in the house and no one really cares, I'm joking he's really supportive.

Sizzling loudly, I wasn't surprised that the other early bird, Matty travelled through the smell to see what I was making.
"Need any help?" he enquired smugly, I knew what he was up to.
"Yes, help me with getting the other few up," I rolled my eyes and smiled back. Sulking, Matty left in defeat but still managed to get a slice of toast, I chuckled shaking my head.

Placing each full complete plate on two clanky trays, I completed it with a blueberry, banana smoothie and a fork and knife. Arriving into the kitchen, John brushed past me and picked up one of the giant trays with three of the plates on it and headed off without a word except patting my head. Smiling in appreciation, I took the other tray and headed towards my two best friends' room.

Knocking gently on the creamed - coloured door, with a sign reading 'Knock First'; I heard a groan from the other side "Whaaaaaat?" I giggled and announced "Can I come in? I have your breakfast,"
Agreeing reluctantly, I step inside, clothes hanging on the back of his chair, on the floor, I sigh and leave the plate on his desk. Sorting out the clothes on the floor, I throw them onto the chair to collect them all together for the wash. Unexpectedly, I feel a force on my arm pulling me towards the bed, I'm now flying back onto the bed where Aidan is. Squealing, I land into arms wrapped around me, "A-Aidan??!"

Shushing me, he fell back to sleep before murmuring "Just for a little while." Silently lying there, 5 minutes had passed and I decided that I'd leave to give Rina her breakfast but that was a task, "Aidan...?I need to go to Rina, her breakfast will get cold," I spoke in a low volume. Moodily groaning in response, I smiled helplessly at his baby side: his hair was sorta messy; he had smooth skin and soft looking lips, I blushed at the thought, I told myself to stop thinking after all he's my best friend and I have been hardcore shipping him with Rina for so many years.

Slipping out his warm arms, I roll out from beneath the covers as his pile of clothes cushion my fall. Taking on the full pile as if it were a monster to tackle, I hold the tray in another hand. Stopping by the small hatchet, I open the door and throw Aidan's clothes down.

Skipping towards Rina's room excitedly, her door was signed off with 'Rina's Room' decorated with flowery patters, I knocked to hear a sleepy "Come in..."
Cautiously entering, I beam as I watch her rub her eyes innocently and yawn before smiling at me, "Thank you cutie."
Rina treated me like her younger sister, me - older sister, we've been friends longer than anyone else in the house, there's not a single event I don't know about that she doesn't.

Rushing off, I leave everyone to eat their breakfast and clean up my kitchen mess. Hopping up the stairs with bubbling energy; I get my uniform on ready for school before eating my meal John had left me, then brushing my teeth and hair neatly afterwards. Like a monkey from branch to branch, I swing my bubblegum, pink bag onto my back before peeking out my door (which btw read 'Keep Out - Bunnies Bite) gazing from side to side. Quickly stepping out, I twist my door handle to lock my room before leaping down the stairs where Matty was waiting for me to head to school.

Flopping a cap upon me, Matty smirks, "Cute, it's sunny today watch out," I roll my eyes at this.
"I'm not a child! I can take care of myself," I complain. Pouting, I walk ahead not paying attention to where I was going until my collar was grabbed tight hold of and pulled back as I watched a car speed past me.
"PAY ATTENTION! You almost killed yourself!" Matty yelled with a worried look in his eyes.
"I'm sorry..." I cried, shocked from what had just occurred. First strike, something was going to go wrong.

»Later that Evening«

"Welcome home, Matty, Lyra!" John said with a dreary tone as he continued to read the news on the couch with Lily on his head (fedora).
"Hey you two, Matty I have a question about our assignment later also dinner will be done soon," Rina cheered but weirdly enough disappeared when Aidan appeared from the stairs. Second strike.
"Aidan!" I called out enthusiastically, he smiled at me but something about him was off - I could tell straight away but it wasn't something he was going to tell me so easily.

Finishing my dinner, I hurried up the stairs to get changed and attempt the devil(my homework) on the couch downstairs. Neatly setting everything out, I see a suspicious bowl of chocolates that wasn't there before, my instant thought was that they were new kinds Rina had bought. Irresistible. Greedily trying one, I already wanted another and so whilst I was doing my homework, I kept eating one after another.

"Lyra...?" a familiar voice called out. Who was it? "Rina...?" I questioned, my vision was slightly hazy and my mind took a while to think.
"No, it's Aidan, did you eat all of these?" I didn't reply, did I eat all of them? Feeling funny, I tried to reach out for him but my body wouldn't move properly.
"Ehhh, Aidan why are you moving away? Come back here!" I yelled, I couldn't get to him, "Tell me what happened! You're not telling me something! You and Rina!" Ignoring my torn words, he picked me up and I assumed he was bringing me up the stairs.
"Idiot...don't tell me you two had an argument," I whined angrily.
"You've had enough chocolate tonight," Aidan said with a gentle voice.

Switching off my lights, I gazed at him, "Don't go, I don't want to be alone," I cried almost in tears, my body was burning and I felt nauseous. Stepping back in, Aidan sat by me as I felt his warm hand on my face, "Ah you have a temperature, hold on," I was confused, what was happening?

Feeling something wet - like a towel on my head, I force my eyes to open a little. "I'm sorry Lyra, you might be torn between me and Rina." huh? What? Eh? My brain couldn't process the words, my eyes couldn't stay open anymore and darkness overwhelmed me.
