「Chapter Six」

Matty's POV

Scrolling through my contacts, I wait to find the bright heart next to a certain name, clicking on the dial button, I lean by the door to the garden; I felt slightly shy when Rina smirks at me. From the corner of my eye, I see Lyra's iconic ears behind the table in the living room - she was trying to stalk me and it wasn't working.
"Hello?" the sweet slowish voice of Brian answered.
"Oh, erm, hey Brian, do you want to come over soon? I need to show you something," I enquire nervously. I hear a slight squeal from behind the couch this time.
"Oh sure, okay do you want me to bring anything?"
"Oh no just yourself," I laugh a little.
With that, I put the phone down and go to the room to confront Lyra, "I swear Lyra, if you do anything!"
"Aww man, I got caught," she sighed disappointed but still looking devious as ever.
"Don't worry, I'll keep her away," John appeared to help me.
"Thank you."

"Sorry Matty, I might be a while something came up," Brian sulked.
"No, no it's okay I'll wait," I tried not to sound sad.
Lying on my stomach, I hug onto the freshly bought cushion, burying my face deep into it - I was missing him. Hours went by and I was just rolling around in bed until there was a knock on my door.
"Brian?" my mood is lifted.
"Erm...no sorry, it's me Lyra, I wanted to see if you were okay...since," she seemed really concerned, I couldn't be mad at her, it wasn't her fault, she did try to help.
"Come in," I reply to which she slowly then gradually hopped onto the bed with me.
"Are you okay? We felt really bad so we have a little surprise for you," Lyra giggled and I knew whatever it was, it would cheer me up. Patting her head, her sweet side was adorable, I mean she always was but how does some act so mature and yet still be like a baby sometimes, she took my hand and guided me out my room. Surprised, candles were everywhere and the whole house was dark and the only thing that lit it up were the candles, I didn't know when but Lyra had already left me to explore the place.

Above my head were signs reading different things with images of me and Brian. My heart melted.
'Hey Matty'
'I know this is a little late'
'I haven't been able to spend as much time with you as I should've'
'I hope you don't mind about today, I used your surprise as a way to surprise you, you must've felt really lonely'
'I hope you know even with the distance, I still love you'
'This is really cringe' - that made me laugh.

Slowly stepping down the stairs, at the end Rina was standing there with her arms behind her back, she then pulled a picture frame reading in the middle "The best couple - Brian".
"Sorry, we wanted to tell you how much we appreciated you, we didn't want to hide it," Rina apologised sincerely but we both knew there were no regrets.
Following the petalled pathway, Aidan was by the living room on his phone before he noticed me and stood up, passing me a sign to stick on a frame reading "Loving you"
Expected of Aidan he just walked off which I 'heh' at. Continuing my journey, I reached John to which he hugged me like the weirdo he was and inserted a picture of me and Brian into the frame decorated with things I liked, he knew it was my favourite picture of us.
"Don't let Lyra jump scare you now," John warned me ruining the fun for Lyra. Reaching the room before the garden, Lyra popped put from behind the doorway and sulked when I gave no reaction.
"Sorry, blame John," I chuckled to which she growled angrily but in the end she gave me a necklace with a cool charm on it - it was one I had been wanting for a while. Afterwards she put a bow tie on me before hugging me really tightly as well.
"You really helped me last night, I was so scared," she whispered.

Stepping out into the garden, I shivered a little it was cold but soon I was warmed up by what I saw next, in the middle of a heart made of many different things - from flowers to glitter and I'm not even sure.
Either way, in the middle of it all, Brian stood there his back facing towards me, "Sheesh, how long did you have to take?" he turned around smiling at me. Holding tightly on him, I hugged him to which he embraced me back with his big arms.
"I missed you," I whispered, I liked being babied by Brian.
"I missed you too," Brian whispered back. (A/N: OWO UWU SO CUTE DESU I AM FANGIRLING AS I AM WRITING THIS BUT ALSO CRINGING LOL HATE ME PLOX okay back to story)

"I have something for you," Brian pulled away reaching for something in his pocket, a box was pulled out as he opened it. Taking my hand, he took my middle finger from my right hand and procured a gold ring (A/N: I actually put finger instead of ring lmao my brother was like wtf lmao imagine a gold finger as a gift to someone 😂 ) and slipped it on my finger. Staring at it, I was shocked and filled with so many loving emotions, I was lost of words and all I could say was "I love you."
"I love you too, Matty," Brian whispered into my ear.

Lying next to each other in my room, my bed felt so much more comfier, we exchanged looks at each other with lustful eyes.

Back to Lyra's POV

Curious as to what they were doing, I finished blowing out all the candles we set out and sneaked up to Matty's room. Blushing, I heard lewd noises, I mean they could be doing anything and to be honest I wanted to listen more but John gave me a glare to which hit my moral side to leave them alone. I decided to have a girls night with Rina and have our own fun. Playing games and going through memes, making stories up, we kicked John out a couple times until he said he'd just go do something with Aidan to which later on Aidan intruded and shut the door.

"Hey get out!" I yelled.
"Nope nope nope nope getting away!" Aidan denied my order. Hysterically laughing, Rina found this so amusing and I couldn't help but smile too.
"Leave me alone," Aidan pouted but laughed with us. Then there was an awkward silence.

"Ahem, I think he's gone now," Aidan left. Yikes.
"Well his fault if he suffers now," I sigh to lighten up the mood.
"So much gay action tonight," Rina joked.

I'll make it straight soon though.
