HOUSEMATE. (Aria and Justin's Story)

Chapter 19

Aria came home at 11:00 pm tonight. She had a date. His name was Harry. He seems nice and funny so maybe she will see him again. She had drink tonight but not a lot. She is not drunk or tipsy even. She opened the door of her condo and turned on the light. She almost screamed. Justin was standing there, smiling at her.

" Hi Love! Suprised?" he asked laughing. He walked towards her and kissed her. To say that she was suprised as an understatement. It was a quick kiss though because he pulled back and looked at her.

" Have you been drinking?" he asked smiling.

Aria felt so tired." Yes, I was out.....on a date," she answered him.

His face became serious." Date? You were on date? Is that why you came home late? I thought you were working overtime in the office," he grimly said.

Aria looked at him." No, I was out on the date," she said." And i didnt know that you were coming home."

He stared at her" Would it make a difference if you knew?"

She doesnt have the time for this."I would probably schedule it for another time," she just said. I cant show him how all of these is affecting me.

His expression was unreadable." I see. Well, I hope you had a good time."

"Yes, I did and sorry that I wasn't here when you came home," sabi ni Aria." I'm going to my room now. I am tired."

"Aria, have you been going out every night on a date since I left?"tanong ni Justin.

"Not every night but yes, I have been going out on dates. Why?" she asked him and looked at him.

He didn't say anything.

"If you don't mind, I'm really tired. Let's just talk in the morning,"sabi ni Aria, left and walked to her room leaving Justin standing there. She closed the door and leaned on it. She willed herself not to cry dahil mamumugto ang mata niya bukas and he will notice it. She wasnt lying when she told him that she was tired. Emotionally and physically tired.

The next day, Aria found all the salubong in the dining table. Mga padala ng parent at kapatid niya pati na rin ang mga pasabulong from Tita Zeny and Tito Tony. She put it away before going to work. She did not see Justin. No note on the fridge gaya ng nakagawian nila. She sighed and left for work.

Three weeks na si Justin na nakakauwi pero hindi pa sila nag-uusap. Ni hindi sila nagkikita. He is either at work or he goes out at night. Si Aria naman ay subsob sa trabaho and she also continues to go out. Pag nasa bahay siya ay nakakulong lang siya sa room niya watching a movie. Two days after Justin came back, nagluluto pa rin si Aria ng food and would leave it for him but he is seldom home to even eat it and Aria came to a point where she would still leave pero hindi na niya ini-expect na kainin ni Justin.

Nagulat si Aria ng paglabas niya ng room ay nandoon si Justin sa dining room.

"Hi, good morning,"sabi nito.

"Good morning,"sagot ni Aria. She was about to leave when Justin spoke.

"Can I talk to you?"tanong nito looking at her.

"I'm going to be late......." Na akmang aalis ng nagsalita uli si Justin.

"I just want to let you know that I am moving out in 2 weeks,"he quietly said.

Aria stopped on her tracks.She turned and faced him.

"I am not asking you to leave,"sabi ni Aria.

He smiled weakly." I know but I am out almost every night and I don't think that is fair to you. Plus, now you can bring your dates here in the condo without any problem. I just think it is time for me to go."

Aria felt like her heart is being crushed. Kahit hindi sila nakikita at nag-uusap ni Justin at least she know that he is just there in the other room. Now they are really breaking any ties. What will she say? No you cant leave because even if I am going out with somebody, I still love you. You are still the one my heart cries out.The one I love the most.

"If that is what you want, then, okay,"sagot ni Aria.

He smiled. "Yes it is."

Tumango si Aria and left with heart breaking into several pieces again
