Joanne, Payton's Mom, got home around 10 am. She decided to make breakfast. Once she started, she went upstairs to wake Payton up.
She did so, then went back downstairs leaving him to wake up the others. He woke up Jackson first, then went to wake up the girls. He knocked on the door before opening it. Alex was closest to him so he nudged her a bit to wake her up, then did the same to Anna.
"My mom made waffles downstairs, so get ready and we can go eat. Jax and I are going to go ahead and go down." Payton told the girls as they sat up in bed. They got ready and walked downstairs. Alex and Anna were very nervous, even more so Alex. Since she really, really liked Payton, her son. Alex of course didn't tell anyone though, other than Anna. When they reached the kitchen, Joanne asked who the two lovely ladies were. Payton explained, again, how they met. He was sure she just asked to embarrass him.
"Dang, you guys got beautiful girlfriends!" She said a bit too happily.
"Mom, they're not our girlfriends." Payton replied.
"Yet" Joanne said and nudged Payton's arm. He blushed and rolled his eyes proving himself right that his mother wanted to embarrass him in front of Alex and Anna.
Joanne introduced herself to the girls and complemented both girls saying they were beautiful. While the girls were talking to Payton's mom Jackson and Payton fist bumped but the girls acted like they didn't notice. After a while of talking and eating breakfast, Joanne told them they were going to the beach today. so get packed and they were going to stay the night there then come back tomorrow for their last day. she also mentioned that it would be a 4 hour drive and that Payton Jackson Alex and Anna would ride in Payton, so that Joanne and her friends could ride in her car. It was easy for Alex and Anna to pack, since most of their stuff was already together and prepared for the beach. The difficult thing was finding something to wear. Alex was stressing because she wanted to be comfortable, but cute. She didn't want to look like a slob in front of Payton nor Jackson. Anna felt the same way, but quickly got over it when she found her favorite black skinny jeans. She paired her jeans with a white t-shirt, and her black converse. She then braided her long blue hair. Lastly, she but on a small chain necklace that had a charm on it. After she was finished, she went downstairs. She found Jackson sitting on the couch by himself, so she joined him and started a conversation. Alex however, was still struggling.
"A-HA! I found it!" Alex shouted as she pulled out a light blue cropped hawaiian shirt with white hibiscus flowers on it. The blue complimented her eyes really well. She paired it with some high-waisted blue jean shorts and hightop white vans. She left her hair down, but straightened it. Once she was satisfied with how she looked, she walked out of the bathroom. When she turned the corner she bumped into someone. It was Payton. When she regained balance and stepped back from him, she realized he was staring.
"Uh. Wow." He said.
"Is it too much? I was really worried about looking like gross in front of you and your mom, and I didn't want to make a fool of myself." Alex rambled.
"No, you look... perfect." He replied and blushed a bit.
"Thanks" Alex smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. Together they grabbed their bags and walked downstairs to meet up with the others. They all got into the car, with Payton driving and Alex in the passenger seat while Jackson and Anna were in the back. Anna rested her legs on Jackson's lap so she could sleep on the car ride there. He just rested his hand on her legs so it wouldn't be awkwardly laying on the seat. After about an hour in the car, Jackson and Anna were both passed out. Jackson had now fallen over and was laying on top of Anna a little bit.
"Can I have the aux?" Alex asked Payton who was currently listening to "talk is overrated".
"Yea, here." He responded unplugging his phone and handing it to her. She immediately plugged her phone in, and went to her music app. She clicked her Justin Bieber playlist, and the first song was "Baby".
"You know you love me, I know you care. Just shout whenever and I'll be there" Alex sang. Payton laughed at her, so she began to serenade him.
"I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring" Alex sang while grabbing his right hand off the console and pointing at his ring finger. She continued singing using his hand as a microphone. When the song ended, Payton held Alex's hand tightly. He slightly moved it to intertwine his fingers with hers. She smiled and blushed, then played another song. Their hands stayed intertwined for the remainder of the car ride.
Once they got to the beach, getting their a bit after Joanna and her friends, they hopped out of the car. Since Jackson was now awake, he woke up Anna. The boys were already in their swim trunks, but the girls had to change. So, they took their backpacks and went to the nearest bathroom to change into their swimsuits. Alex wore a black one piece with straps down the side and Anna had a black bikini on that had white sea turtles on it. Together, they walked out of the bathroom towards the beach. As they did so, a few boys were whistling and staring at them. When Payton and Jackson saw, they were infuriated. They immediately ran up to the girls.
"Hey babe! Glad you could make it!" Payton shouted giving Alex a hug. "Just go along with it, so we can get these boys to stop being rude." He whispered in her ear.
"Of course baby! I wouldn't miss a beach date for anything!" I said back, loudly. Jackson, as well, came up and hugged Anna.
"I missed you so much!" He said quite loud.
"I missed you too!" Anna replied. Payton and Jackson both gave the girls their shirts to cover up until they got to the umbrellas. The boys wrapped their arms around the girls and finally made their way to Payton's mother. Setting all of their belongings down on a towel. Anna and Alex laid out in the sun for a while trying to tan, but suddenly there's water all over Alex. She looks up to see Payton and Jackson with two giant buckets laughing in her face. She rolled her eyes and went after both them because they ran in the same direction. She was getting closer just when Payton branched off in another direction. So she continued after Jackson because she was getting closer. He then tripped over a rock in the sand and fell flat on his face then Alex tripped over him and fell on top of him. She rolled off laughing so hard she couldn't breathe. You could hear Payton's laugh from half way across the beach when him and Anna ran towards Alex and Jackson. Jackson sat up really quickly and shook the sand off him.
"thanks for breaking my fall." Alex laughed.
"thanks for breaking my back." Jackson said sarcastically. Alex rolled her eyes and said
"You're welcome" as she caught her breath after chasing the boys and having a laughing fit, Payton picked her up and threw her over his shoulder running to the ocean.
"PAYTON STOP!! ITS GONNA BE COLD!!" Alex screamed.
"HA LOSER!" Anna yelled. Just then she was thrown over Jackson's shoulder. she screamed.
"JACKSON DON'T YOU DARE! I DON'T LIKE BIG BODIES OF WATER!!"
She was smacking his back trying to get him to put her down. He then stopped abruptly, watching Payton throw Alex in the water and screams being heard across the beach. Jackson puts Anna down right at the shore so her feet were in the water, but that's it. He looked at her for a second then leaned in and kissed her. Anna being shocked didn't know what to do but eventually kissed back. In the background you heard faint "awes" but it felt like only Jackson and Anna existed at the moment. Payton and Alex were standing their, soaking wet, watching the scene that was happening. Finally after a couple seconds the two heard a camera flash. Joanne took a picture. Anna was slowly backing up because she hated attention, and all eyes were on her and Jackson. Jax grabbed Anna's arm and pulled her away from the crowd.
"I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. You just looked so beautiful so I just leaned in and it happened. I'm really sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Jackson rambled, feeling bad because all the attention was on them, but at the same time happy because he really likes Anna.
"Jackson, it's okay. Seriously. I like you, and it's really okay that you kissed me." Anna said with her hand on his arm.
"I like you too" Jackson replied smiling really big. They both make their way back to the umbrella, and Jackson asked Joanne to send him the picture she took of him and Anna with the mindset to set it as his background, both home and lock. Time goes by and Anna is now back at her spot. Being peaceful and all since she was now just laying down, eyes closed, listening to nature and the laughter of everyone. Slowly falling asleep. Time fly's by and it is time to leave the beach. They would all be staying at a hotel for the night. Payton and Alex go to the car after putting everything away. Jackson getting Anna, gently picking her up. She slowly wakes up due to the movement. She acts like she is still asleep. Hearing Jackson mutter something about falling for someone. Setting her in the passenger seat. Seeing Alex already knocked out on Payton's shoulder with his arm around her holding her with his head resting on hers. Anna looked back to see Alex and payton. she snapped a picture to post on her snapchat (her private story so no one screenshotted and asked questions) captioned "the cutest :) i ship it" Payton had fallen asleep as well, that's why he didn't know she took a picture. about half way to the hotel, Anna and Jackson were holding hands in the front seat listening to music just loud enough to hear it. Alex's eyes fluttered open and she was laying on Payton. She grabbed her phone off the seat beside her leg. She checked her notifications seeing that Anna tagged her in something on snapchat. When she saw the picture of her and Payton she blushed. She swiped up and said "this is cute" she looked down to see her and Payton's hands gently tangled together. She tightened the grip just a little bit before snapping a picture to post on her private story as well. She just put a blush emoji and let it be. She was extremely happy. She wrapped his arm closer to her and laid there content with life, soon falling asleep again. After the small ride to the hotel Jackson and Anna woke the other two up. Leaving everything in the car, but not before quickly grabbing clothes. Since one of Joanne's friends lived close, Joanne went to her house. But the teens wanted privacy, so they went to the hotel. Getting one room with two beds, not wanting to waste money on four if they were just going to be in one. Anna and Alex went to one bed, while Payton and Jackson went to another. Payton and Jackson took off their shirts and hoodies, changing pants. Alex and Anna took turns going to to the bathroom to change. Them both ending up in T-shirt's and shorts. The room was freezing cold. So as soon as they changed, they ran to the bed. Cuddling up to the blankets. This action did not go unnoticed by the boys who were plugging all their phones in. Payton grabbing his hoodie, Jackson following his actions. Giving it to Alex and Anna. Them both denying it but the finally taking it because the blankets weren't doing justice. Unfortunately the hoodies weren't doing justice either so while the boys were live on instagram Alex and Anna cuddled together. They scrolled through instagram and snapchat for a while then finally getting bored. they watched the boys goof off on live so they decided to join and bug the boys. Both girls turned their volume all the way down so it wasn't echoing. they then just silently payed attention to the boys on the stream and in the room. Surprisingly there were only a few questions asking where they were. The two boys just said on a little trip with some friends. Although it wasn't much of a 'trip' for Payton since he was still in his home town. The girls would just comment random things going unnoticed. until Anna commented "damn Jackson is hot anyone agree? 🥵" and Jackson read it aloud. Anna's eyes got wide and she started laughing under the blankets trying to muffle the sound so no one in the live gets suspicious. "Payton's ugly anyone else agree? 🤮" Alex commented as a joke. Payton read it aloud and whipped his head around. "Hey! that's mean!!" he yelled at Alex.
"SHH!" she whispered back.
He turned back around a little annoyed. Then everyone was commenting asking if they were with Alex and Anna. They just ignored them not wanting to talk about it.
"holy shit it's so fucking cold in here. i'm going for a walk." alex says making it obvious that they were with the boys.
she walked passed the screen in his hoodie and everyone went wild. Anna decided to stay behind because she was just starting to warm up. a couple minutes later Alex commented on the live again. "i hope you know i was joking. i love you <3" Payton read it but not out loud. he just smiled and blushed a bit. Ten minutes after Alex left, Payton and Jackson ended the live. Since she had yet to come back, Payton went to look for her. He found her standing under a palm tree outside the hotel.
"Get any warmer?" Payton asked and Alex looked at him and nodded.
"You know i didn't mean what i said earlier right?" Alex said.
Payton's breath hitched was she talking about her saying she loved him? Because he thought he was beginning to love her.
"hm" Payton responded.
"I didn't mean it when i called you ugly. I was just making fun of Anna and Jackson. Then when you turned around and said something I felt bad because you looked sad. That's why I took a walk. To calm my thinking. I really think you're cute and not ugly at all. I just wanted to let you know." Alex said.
"Alex, it's okay. i saw your comment apologizing. and i think you're cute too." he said back pulling her into a hug then kissing her on the top of the head. They then walked back up to the room. When they got in, Jackson and Anna were already asleep. Alex sat down in bed beside Anna and looked at Payton.
"Goodnight Pay." She said.
"Goodnight Alex." He replied. Then they both laid down and went to sleep.
