Who knew - Jackson Felt + Payton Moormeier

Alex woke up the next morning and took a quick shower and then decided to cook something. But, since she wasn't the best cook, she pulled up instructions on her phone. She decided on cooking eggs, pancakes, and toast. Although it wasn't the best mixture of foods, she still wanted to make them. While she was making eggs she turned to the other side of kitchen to make the toast. Not focusing on the eggs, almost completely forgetting about them, the smoke alarm started to go off. Quickly turning around seeing all the smoke that was now in the air. Everyone else in the house was now awake and running to the kitchen. Payton quickly ran to get the eggs off of the stove and threw the pan, still with the eggs, into the sink and turning off the burner.
"Ok so I will finish breakfast because someone can't!" Payton said while laughing and looking at Alex as he said someone. He then grabbed the pancake mix.
Quickly making the rest of breakfast and getting the toast plated, after having to make new toast since the other pieces were burnt. He also got the eggs that were in the sink and threw them away. Giving out the plates to the respectful person. They ate for a little until Alex sparked up conversation.
"just so y'all know, i'm a fantastic cook. I just wanted to burn the house down on purpose. Y'know haha it's just a prank bro." She said hysterically laughing at herself while Anna laughed as well.
Payton just responded,
"uh huh. You literally messed up the easiest thing to make." And he laughed at her.
Jackson pitched in and said,
"bro don't worry about it. One time almost burnt my house down baking a cake. Long story short I just wanted to do something nice for my mom but, did something completely wrong - and to this day I still don't know what I did to make it explode and catch on fire." they all laughed and finished their breakfast.
The only thought running through her head was, 'how did you manage to make a cake explode.'
It was still pretty early in the day, so they just watched some television, taking turns taking showers. Alex had to take a new shower since she somehow managed to get eggs in her hair while cooking. After they were all done, they wanted to go visit the hollywood sign today and just see how it looked in person. They quickly got into their car, Anna driving with Payton in the passenger seat and Jackson and Alex in the back goofing off. Ever since Jackson has known Alex, they have become the best of friends. Half way to the sign Anna's ptsd started to act up. It hasn't acted up since the crash, what caused it, since she hasn't really drove since then. She zoned out for a second, when coming back she saw a car pull up next to her. Although it was the normal distance away a car should be, Anna thought it was too close and started to have a small freak out. But, she made sure that no one else in the car would notice it. She gripped the steering wheel very tightly, causing her fingers to go white at the top for a little. As her panic attack started to go away, she loosened her grip on the wheel. For the rest of the ride she just tried to stay in a calm mood. Once they got there Anna quickly parked the car and they all jumped out. But since they can't touch it or anything, they just went to the farthest point they could go. Once there, they just stared at the sign in awe. Even the boys did since all the times they have gone to Los Angeles, they have never had the time to go to the Hollywood sign. They were all amazed by how tall the letters were. They knew they were very large but, never thought they would be this tall. But, Alex decided she wanted to get a bit closer. Crossing the 'barrier' and walking a couple more steps. But, due to where they were she tripped a little. Causing her to go falling. Before she could hit the ground Payton put his arm underneath her back. Quickly making sure she wouldn't hit the ground. Pulling her up and safely into his chest.
"You are too clumsy!" Payton said while Jackson and Anna were laughing.
"It's not my fault I was born like this!" Alex said back while somewhat laughing.
"don't worry man, she's just falling for you." Jackson said and winked at Payton.
"literally." Anna added and they all laughed.
After that little moment they got back up to safe ground, well at least to where Alex has the smallest chances of falling. They took some pictures of just the scenery to keep as memory. However, they did get one groups photo together. After the little photo shoot they hiked back down to where their car was.
"IM STARVING." Alex whined.
"we ate like 3 hours ago?!" Anna responded.
"well hiking takes a lot of energy and burns calories, therefore i'm hungry again. Let's pleaseeeee get food." Alex continued to whine.
"yea i'm pretty hungry too." Jackson said.
"i'm not really hungry." Payton said.
"me either." Anna added.
"welp see y'all later me and Jackson are going to get food." Alex said grabbing Jackson arm as they skipped down the sidewalk.
"hey! Don't steal my boyfriend!" Anna hollered.
The two stopped skipping and busted out laughing.
"HA YOU'RE FUNNY!" Alex snorted.
Jackson acted offended but then started laughing too. Finally after sometime they all agreed to go eat, so they walked around finding the closest restaurant. Sitting down and getting the food they wanted. They were making a scene since they were all so hyper and couldn't stop yelling and throwing things. Eventually the restaurant had to kick them out and said they had to go somewhere else. The four teenagers by this point were balling out laughing on the sidewalk. They couldn't stop for a solid five minutes. Eventually stopping Jackson said,
"dude we really got kicked out!"
"No joke! Now where do we go?" Payton replied while putting his arm around Alex's shoulders.
Alex thought for a minute.
"MCDONALDS!" she shouted once she spotted a sign down the road.
They all agreed then walked in into the building. Alex and Payton ended up splitting a 20 piece chicken nugget meal, and Anna and Jackson ended up doing the same. They all sat down and dug into their food. When they were done eating they decided to go and buy some clothes or just random items to remember this trip. While Alex was looking through clothes racks, Payton walked over and put his arms around her waist. Setting his head on her shoulder and kissing her neck quickly.
"Babyyy hurry up! It's been like two hours." He said while whining and over exaggerating it.
"It's only been like ten minutes" Alex replied while reaching back and running her hand through his hair.
"Ughh!" Payton whined even more.
Payton kissed her cheek and she smiled.
"you trying to distract me is not going to make shopping go any faster" she laughed at him.
He frowned, still with his arms around her waist. She put her hand on the side of his face and kissed his nose. He smiled.
"i'm gonna go try these on" Alex said.
He groaned, wanting to leave the store for the past 10 minutes already.
"i'll be quick I promise." she went to go walk away but Payton said something.
"that's what she said" he laughed.
Alex came back and smacked his arm. He just laughed harder. About ten minutes later, Anna and Alex had tried stuff on and already bought the things they liked. Next was shopping for the boys. Great Anna thought. But Alex already knew she was going to annoy the hell out of Payton while he shopped because he did the same to her. She told Anna to do the same, so they made a plan. After only 2 minutes of the boys shopping the girls started to pester them. Anna wrapped her arms around Jackson's waist and held on tight.
"Hurry up!!" She said while holding as tight as possible.
"Baby I can't if you won't let me breathe." Jackson said while putting his hands on top of Anna's.
She let go a lot bit, enough to breathe, but, still holding on. While this was happening Alex kept on poking and distracting Payton. Alex had a lot of fun annoying Payton. She often picked up random shirts and held them up saying "you should buy this." or "this is the one." Although they were usually ugly. He eventually got very annoyed and started ignoring her. However she thought it was quite funny. Since they had been in the store for about 20 minutes, she went to find Anna and see how she was going. When Alex got to Anna she was still messing with Jackson so, she joined.
"helloooooo Jackson! How's it going? Find everything you need?" She said leaning on the rack he was looking through.
"oh no not you too." he sighed.
"oh yes me too! Payton started ignoring me so I figured i'd come check on you two." She smiled widely.
"he just finds me funny. At least you actually achieved your goal." Anna said and shrugged her shoulders.
Alex laughed then walked to find Payton again. She didn't want him to ignore her any longer so she wanted to apologize. She found him in the back corner of the store and ran towards him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly.
"i'm sorry for annoying you." She said into his chest, just loud enough for him to hear it.
"it's okay babe. I found everything I want tho, so let's go check out." He responded hugging her back.
She nodded into his chest but, before letting go, she looked up at him and kissed him softly. They then walked to the check out and brought the clothes he wanted. Although Payton was down shopping and checked out, Jackson still wanted another few items. Anna decided to stop annoying, at least trying to, him. Actually trying to help him so the shopping trip could be done with. She showed him a hoodie she thought he would love but, in the back of her head she knew she would just end up stealing it. After he got two more items and the hoodie he checked out. Jackson and Anna joined Payton and Alex at the car. Ready to go home and sleep since it was now pretty dark outside. The day had completely flown by.
