Grace

I pressed my finger down on the trigger as hard as I possibly could. My legs were like jelly and I could barely stand, but I did the best I could and aimed the gun at Alexander. I was not going to suffer through any more of his torture, any more of his fucking mind games. This was over and it was over now.

I emptied the round and turned the gun on Marco, firing at his torso. I didn't want to kill him, only seriously mame. After all, his loyalty would never lie with me or Greyson. He belonged to Alexander and while that was the case, he could turn around and kill any one of us.

I heard him drop to the floor and released my finger from the trigger once again. I stood there, shaking and breathing heavily. I can't believe, i couldn't believe I had just shot a gun at someone, at anyone. Even if they were lying, cheating, torturing bastards.

I dropped the gun, scared that i would do something with it I would regret and sucked in a huge lungful of air. Greyson was on his knees, panting. Blood pooled around his legs, pouring from the unmoving body of Alexander beside him. I only hoped I hadn't hit anyone else. I couldn't bare to let my eyes linger on Alexander too much. I had emptied a full round into him and I was scared that the damage to his body might kill me all together if I saw it.

Greyson got to his feet, Amon supporting his weight for a few moments before he could stand on his own. His neck was red, huge hand marks alighting his neck. I could feel my stomach toss inside me at the sight. It wasn't gross, but it made me feel like I had failed him.

It had taken a lot to drag myself off the floor and crawl my way into the corridor. My whole body was protesting the entire time, screaming at me to lie down and not move for the rest of my life. I felt my body tip sideways.

And it went black.

Greyson

Grace just stood there for a moment, breathing so deeply I thought it might kill her. And then she colapsed onto the ground. I ran towards her, my throat closing up and blood filling my mouth. But I did't care. That bastard had lied to me, and Grace was alive.

I scooped her unconcious form into my arms and kissed her forehead. My Grace was alive and so was I. Alexander and Marco were dead and I could finally take her away from here. I had done something right.

Amon reloaded his gun and held it up. "I'm going to check up the hallway for anyone. I'll be back in a minute."

I nodded, wheezing from the effort of running to Grace's side. Amon scurried past me and I dropped my eyes to Grace's bruised and bloodied face. She still looked like an angel. I pushed her matted hair from her eyes and pulled off my shirt to cover her totally naked body.

I stood slowly with her in my arms and looked over at Benny. He was leaning over Marco, kicking him in the side. I chuckled, finding the whole thing hilarious, and shook my head. He looked up at the sound of my laugh and smiled at me sheepishly.

"We need to get out of here." I said, finding my way back into leader mode, even though my lungs still burned and my voice crackled and broke like a scratched disc.

Somehow, I didn't think that it would ever go away. Benny nodded. "I'll get the car." He said quickly. I kicked him the gun Alexander had dropped before- the very one Grace had used to kill the bastard.

I watched him hurry down the stairs to the left and hugged Grace to me. Amon saltured back into the hallway, his gun lazily by his side. His eyes took in Grace's form and he cringed. I nodded my head, understanding the look I was recieving totally.

"That bastard." He spat, scuffing his foot on the floor.

I just grunted, Grace stirring slightly in my arms. Benny's voice crackled over Amon's walkie-talkie telling us that he had parked around the back under an old car shelter. He had the engine running and was waiting. He thought the cops were on the way.

Amon skirted around me to look at the bodies of Marco and Alexander. "You go. I'll remove anything that could link us to the death of these to idiots."

I felt a sick, nagging feeling come over me, but I nodded anyway, egar to get out of there. The smell of blood was beginning to overwhelm me. I tucked Grace under my chin and started walking out. Amon was still muttering under his breath as he poked and prodded around the bodies.

I found it slightly funny, and kept walking. If Grace lost too much blood, she was going to die. The burns on her body weren't bleeding, but they were already infected. What ever that bastard had used on her had worked and had been the dirtiest thing he could find.

I hurried down the nearest corridor, my footsteps echoing on the pavement. I found the exist quickly- my eyes drawn to the green and white lit up sign above the door. At least Alexander had the courtesy to label the exit for me.

I almost laughed at the irony: his only captive, that hes been trying to have access to for the last eight years is finally in his grasp, but he made it too easy for her to escape cause he labelled his exits. On the plus side, at least he valued some life... or maybe it was just his.

I propped open the door with my foot, cradeling Grace to my chest as I pushed through. I could see Benny a few yards away, the black out windows only just revealing his face. I nodded at him, acknowledging he was there as I kicked a sturdy looking rock over to hold the door open. If it had a dead lock and Amon needed help, I'd like to be able to get inside.

I jogged over to the waiting car, Benny already thought a head and pushed open the back door. I slid Grace in so she was lying down comfortably. I threw a blanket from the floor over her, raising my eyes at Benny as to why it was even in his car in the first place.

He simply tapped his nose and winked, chuckling. I shook my head, glad that he could make a joke. I was greatful for anything that would ease the horrible nagging feeling that was in my chest. Something was going to happen.

Amon appeard in the exit, waving to us. We both smiled and I pulled the car door open wider so i could slip in beside Grace.

It took all of five seconds and everything happened in slow motion. The hands of Marco appeared out of nowhere and clamped onto Amon's neck.

Amon struggled. He fired a few shots. He kicked.

But it was too late. With one quick twist, Amon's neck was broken and like a rag doll, he fell limply to the ground.

Benny was screaming and crying. I stood up from where I was as Marco advanced on us and shot as many rounds into him as I could. By the time I was finished I couldn't tell where his neck started and where his chest ended.

"DRIVE!" I screamed at Benny, flinging myself into the car beside Grace.

Benny shook his head, his voice dying on his throat as he sobbed. He'd lost a brother and his best friend. I could feel my own saddness over losing Amon eating me up. I could see his smile and hear his laugh.

As much as I wanted to break down and cry over him, we had to get out of here. We had to leave now or we would all be killed and Benny knew it.

"DRIVE!" I screamed at him again.

Benny looked back at me, totally lost, before he turned the key in the ignition and sped us out of there.
