The first Quidditch game of the Gryffindor season was coming soon, and Wood has been training the team harder than ever. It was his last year at Hogwarts, so he wanted to win the Cup. So if winning was what he wanted, training for hours a day is a go. All of the team was currently sitting at the breakfast table, discussing their game plan against Slytherin.

"Oh come off it Wood, it's in a week, plus I don't think it is very healthy to be practicing 24/7, hell I can't remember the last time I've slept well, so maybe if you would just I dunno make it a bit easier for the team," Angelina said in hopes of getting a small break from training.

"It doesn't matter how tired we are, Angie, but we have to win, I don't want to imagine what might happen if we lost against the Slytherins."

The rest of the team groaned in response to his answer and laid their heads on the table. The amount of training done constantly was uncanny and was making everyone besides Oliver Wood exhausted. As much as they want to win the Cup, it won't be worth it if they can't feel their bodies. Wood would take it as far as to make them run 25 laps around the Quidditch field. Run. It's a flying sport, yet they had to run laps. Unbelievable.

Soon the weather started to get worse and worse the closer they got to the Quidditch game. Not only that, but the team had to start practicing under the eye of Madam Hooch. No one really complained though, most of them thought it would be for the best.

Soon enough it was the last training session before the upcoming Quidditch game against the Slytherins. The whole of Gryffindor was practically bouncing in their seats, ready for the game. Until that is, when Oliver Wood gathered the team and told them very unsettling news.

"We aren't going against the Slytherins?!" The Weasley twins announced at the same time.

"Why?" The rest of the team said in synchronization.

"Well, Flint's excuse was that their teams Seeker was still injured," Wood said to them, obviously furious about it.

Before anyone could continue with their conversation, though, they saw the Black twins running into the field where they were ready to practice.

"We heard what happened! It's just awful, and Flint knows it is," Aquila stated, panting slightly out of breath.

"They are a bunch of cowards, the only reason they aren't playing is because of the weather, is absolutely perfect, we saw him the other day, his arm was fine," Archer said motioning to himself along with his sister.

"Wait, if we aren't versing Slytherin, then who are we going up against?" Harry asked.

"Hufflepuff, which is awful since we have been preparing for Slytherin, and their style of play is much different, not only that, but they've got a new Captain and Seeker, Cedric Diggory-"
