I Thought You Loved Me (Sequel to Lies)

Chapter 1

I yawned. "Phil im so tired, cant we just stop here." We had travelled for some long days but had just reached a sign that said Daisy Lane. We didn't go that far. Our house was just a few miles away. "Dan we haven gotten very far. Are we running away or what?" I felt like collapsing. "But im too tired to walk any further." I wished we stayed at Phil's house. I wished his mum would've taken me in. "Phil, could we please go back. Back to your house. I know we tried our best out here but we would never make it." He sighed. "Dan, what if my mums still there? She will go and put you in that foster home." "I dont know. I'm scared out here Phil. Please. Can we just go back. I know I didnt want to before, but now that we have run out of food, water and money, we wont make it." "I guess so. But we will go in the morning. We dont have enough energy to go anywhere."

We lyed down on the sodden grass and I put my arm round Phil. We cuddled close to eachother to keep warm. I looked up at the shining stars, then to Phil, seeing that he had fallen asleep already. I closed my eyes and thought of him.

I awoke suddenly to find myself in an empty house. It looked a lot like Phil's house. Wait. All the furniture was arranged like his. It was Phil's house. "Phil?" I looked around. No one was there. I went into the kitchen and found Phil's mum sitting in the same position as last time but her back turned. "You came back?" She turned around and she had big red demon eyes. I gasped! She stood up and walked closer to me. "You took my dear Phil away, and didnt bring him back. You walked into this family like you belonged. But you didnt!" I moved backwards everytime she said a word. I looked behind me and saw the door wide open. Maybe I could escape. I looked back round and saw Phil's mum right up close to me, staring into my eyes. I tried to get out of the room by moving back as fast as I could but the door slammed shut and I bashed into it. Oww. "You will never be able to escape me, young Dan. Oh no you wont." I was so frightened. She grew bigger and stronger and before my eyes she was double the size as she was before. "You, the stranger from the street." Then she pounced on me!

I woke up, gasping for air, with sweat all over my forehead. "Dan?! What happened?" Phil was sitting beside me looking worried. "Thank God it was all a nightmare." I whispered under my breath. He hugged me tight, not letting go. "Are you sure your all right?" "Yeah, I'm fine Phil, I just had a terrible nightmare. Ill tell you more about it later." "Ok. Shall we set off then?" "Wait, what time is it?" He quickly took out his phone from his pocket and looked at it. "6:42." It was still pretty early. I rubbed my eyes and stood up. "Ok, let's go."
