(this takes place in the same universe as my baby spider series on my other book. Also, I'm only doing this to introduce the character.)

(Earth-34173)

The figure stood on the edge of the roof. The glaring lights of the city shone below her. Clenching her fists, she turned and walked a few steps to get a good run-up. She pulled the ball off her belt and gripped onto it. Taking a deep breath she began to sprint for the edge. As her feet left the surface, she threw one end of the yarn to another building. She swung from skyscraper to skyscraper, the metallic string supporting her. Once it seemed she had concluded her search, she landed on another roof. She sat down on the rim and looked up at the sky.

"What you doing up so late?" A voice sounded behind her.

She shot up at the sound. Whipping her head around, she spotted the one who had spoken. It was Spiderman. Before he could react, she had flipped backwards off the roof. Peter ran to the edge and peered over. The girl was sprinting down the side of the tower. He stepped over to chase after this mysterious stranger. He was about to catch up to her when she somersaulted over him, jumped off the window above him and swung away. He decided not to follow her and hope that he would have the chance to speak to her again.

Crystal pulled off her mask, letting her long, brown, curly hair down. She put on her pyjamas and slumped onto her bed. If you could even call it a bed. All that she has to rest on was an old sleeping bag and pillow. They were laid on the floor of the van. Crystal lived in that van. She had used it before the accident occasionally but now she was there almost all the time. Where else did she have to go? She couldn't go back. Not back to him. When Crystal wasn't in her van, she was out scavenging for metal scraps and electronic parts that she would sell to the mechanics' shop. Anything they didn't want she would keep for herself and make new things with.

Slowly, the dim light of the van faded as she slipped into the peaceful realm of sleep.
~~~
The next morning, Crystal awoke to the sounds of the busy city. Cars honking. Hurried footsteps. Bins being emptied. She pulled on her jeans and hoodie and climbed out of the back door. Securing her backpack to her back, she set off through the alleys, searching for any scrap metal or useful parts.
After she had sold the days findings, she went and bought a sandwich from a deli. She was sat at a table, her hood up and looking at her phone when a brown hair boy came up to her.
"Hey, Mind if I sit here?" He asked, "All the other seats are taken."
"Sure" Crystal said, not looking up from her phone. She adjusted her good so that he couldn't see her face.
"So, " he attempted to start a conversation as he sat down, "You from around here?"
"I'm from England." Crystal muttered, "But I've been here for a few years now."
"Cool." He took a bite of his sandwich, "So you go to school around here?"
"Used to." She replied, "But I dropped out."
The boy nodded then continued with his sandwich. After a few minutes, he spoke up again.
"My name's Peter, You?" He asked.
"Crystal." She started quickly.
"That's a nice name." He said, almost to himself, "I haven't heard a name like that since...."
He shook his head.
"Nevermind."
Now Peter had finished and was standing up to leave.
"Well, I hope I see you around Crystal." And with that, he turned and walked out the door.
After Crystal's meal, it was time to take to the streets. She pulled on her handmade suit and swung off into the city. She was clinging to the side of a building as she scanned the ground below her for any ongoing crimes. She noticed a faint for help a few buildings over. Crystal climbed the rest of the building, sprinted across the roofs and jumped over the gaps. Once she had stopped, she peered over the edge and down into the ally below.
A man had a woman at gunpoint while he shouted at her.
"Give me your bag!" He ordered.
As quick as she could, Crystal jumped down from the roof and onto the floor. She knocked the man off his feet before disarming him and throwing him out into the street. Before anyone could see her, she was up and back in the roof.
Once again, she was singing along on her ball of metallic yarn when she spotted a video game store robbery. She landed on the top of the building opposite and surveyed the scene. Crystal was about to intervene when a familiar hero beat her to it. Spiderman was already webbing up most of the criminals as she landed outside the door. However, he seemed not to have noticed the two that were trying to sneak out through the entrance. Crystal threw her yarn, which immediately wrapped around them and kicked them back into the shop. Spiderman had now turned around and was webbing the two up.
He was about to thank the mysterious stranger that had helped him but she was gone before he could say anything.
(A/n Idk if there's going to be another part to this but there probably will be cuz I have no ideas. So please send me requests I have none.
