Family Dinner

Kara: Waking up like this is so perfect. Lena's head is resting on my chest. She is still asleep so peacefully. It's been. A few weeks now since we exchanged the L Word and this is the happiest I have ever felt. I get lost in my thoughts around her, so excited for what this journey will bring. I realise now I have been daydreaming as I notice lena smiling up at me.
Lena:Good morning. As much as I'd like to stay here all day we need to get ready for everyone coming over for dinner. I sit up and give kara a kiss.

Montage:
The two get up and almost in sync brush there teeth and grab a cup of coffee. Kara switches on the radio and the two start to sing and dance around the apartment as they tidy up.

It's been a few hours...

Kara: I hear Alex coming with my superhearing and open the door just as she was about to knock. Hey sis come on in Eliza won't be long. Alex tells me that Maggie can't make it she's stuck on a case at work.

Eliza:I knock on the door and lena let's me in we share a quick hug and lena whispers to me that she would like a moment of my time alone before I leave, before I'm greeted by my beautiful daughters.

Dinner goes smoothly they all have a laugh and talk about everything from supergirl working at the DEO to lena and karas relationship now ship named supercorp by Alex after two glasses of wine. Alex and Eliza both comment on how right the two are for each other and how in love they are already shown affectionately by the loving gestures. Holding Hands, stealing kisses and the heart eyes that hardly darted away from each other.

Sirens go off in the distance.

Kara: That's my que don't worry ill be safe. I love you, all of you.

Lena: I think we all know that Kara probably won't be long but there is something I have been meaning to ask you. Know that if you say yes I won't be asking Kara straight away. I love her very much and I see us being together forever. I know that we haven't been together for very long but I know that either one of us has never felt happier or more secure than we do with each other. That girl is my rock and I have no intention of hurting her. Losing her would kill me. Can I have your permission to ask for Karas hand in marriage?

As I look at Alex and Eliza I can see tears streaming down there faces. They both nod and smile clearly lost for words right now.

Alex: I'm so happy about this. I don't want to panic but kara is never usually this long I'm going to call the DEO to see if they can figure out we're she is.
