There was nothing that could of prepared Lena for the sight of Kara on that hospital bed. Black and blue with bruises and all bloodied. The tube coming out of her mouth, the sun lamps on her skin. The fact she knew that she would feel pain like a human when she awoke was another thing that was scaring her. Seeing Kara in physical pain would be something so new and foreign for the both of them.
Lena walked closer to Kara and took a seat on the chair right beside her girlfriends head. Leant over and planted a kiss on her forehead hoping that it wouldn't hurt her or suddenly wake her up. ' hey you. I love you so much and I'm so scared that your not going to wake up. I don't know what I would do without you, my life has only gotten better since I've had you in it. It's never been so good, I've never been happier thanthe way I feel when you look at me with those beautiful eyes and that huge goofy grin. We haven't had long enough, I want more days of us being goofy dancing and singing around the house and stealing kisses when we think no one is watching. I want you now and forever.Dont give up on me kara I need you'
Lena has been talking to kara for about an hour when all of a sudden all the machines go crazy and kara starts fitting. 'Alex! Alex'
Alex rushes in and realises that it's karas bodies way of saying she's ready to be woken up. Alex takes out the tube and then they wait.
'AHHHHHHHHHHH owwww it hurts so bad why do I hurt so much' kara wakes up in an immense amount of pain and is screaming and crying for it to stop. Lena cracks at the sight and falls apart not being able to stop the tears. It's Kara hearing lena sobbing that actually calms her down enough to grab lena's hand from the side of the bed. Lena stops crying as kara says 'hey you, look at me it's okay I'm alive I'm here I'm not going anywhere'

Alex is also in tears and calls Maggie and Eliza up to join them before she explains everything to kara. 'kara the damage to your body is extensive you'll have to be here for a few days before you can go home. Your powers have completely disappeared and there's no telling when they will be back' hearing this makes kara cry again 'both of your legs are broken and your face is awfully bruised as are your ribs. Please give yourself time to heal unfortunately now that your in a human state theres no way of knowing how long this could take'

By the time that Alex has finished speaking there isn't a dry eye in the room. Kara then asks for everyone to leave. Lena goes to leave too. 'no not you I didn't mean you I can't be without you right now not ever ok please don't leave me. I love you Lena Luthor '
