CHAPTER 2
I had a normal boring day. I was surprising looking forward to riding the bus and seeing harry. The whole day I had flaws on repeat. It was stuck in my head but I liked it. I had a particular line stuck in my head "You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve and I have always buried them deep beneath the ground." I just kept singing that one line over and over again. All they way until I got onto the bus. I walked back to my normal seat and sat down. I was getting worried because Harry still wasn't on the bus yet and we were about to pull out. But guess who came bounding up the steps all tall and scrawny at the last second.
"HI LOUIS!" Harry yelled plopping down next to me.
"Hey." I mumbled.
"How was your day!" He said almost cheering.
"Boring." I continued to mumble. I forgot how annoying Harry could get. But yet I still seemed to like him.
"So was mine. I had to meet all the principles and teachers." He said pulling out his phone. "But all the kids wear really nice. I got invited to sit with a bunch of people at lunch. Even girls." He said putting on his cheeky grin.
This made me upset. Yeah I was happy for Harry he was fitting in but I was hoping he would be my friend, only my friend. I'm such a loser, I've known this kid for less then 24 hours and I'm already jealous that he has other "friends".
We sat in awkward silence for a little bit. Until Harry started to make conversation again, but not with me. The other people around us. I looked out the window turning up Flaws. I probably looked straight out of a said movie seen with my droopy face starring off into the distance with my head leaned up against the glass.
Then I got that all to familiar tap on my shoulder.
“Louis! Are you trying to ignore me?” Harry said with a puzzled look.
“You wear talking with the other kids,” I mumbled.
“Nah, they where boring. All they wanted to know was if I was going to try out for the Footy team.” Harry said putting up his hand.
I perked up when he mentioned Football. It’s my favorite sport and the only thing I like besides music. I was quite good but I never had enough courage to try out for the team because, well I have anxiety.
“Are you?” I questioned turning down my music.
“No. I’m no good.” He said almost sadly.
“I love football.” I said half smiling.
“I do to, but I’m no good. Are you?” He again giving that big cheeky smile.
“I guess.” I said shrugging my shoulders.
“So try out for the team!” Harry cheered.
“No.” I said firmly turning back towards the window. I then felt warm breath as Harry put his head close to my ear.
“Well will you teach me?” He mumbled into my ear. He retracted back as I turned back around with a puzzled look on my face.
“What?” I said cocking my head to the side.
“Will you Louis, teach me Harry how to play Football?” He said slowly drawing out the words.
“Uh sure.” I said almost as a question.
“Awesome! Do you want to come over tonight and you can teach me and then stay over for dinner?” He said cheerfully.
This was way out of my comfort zone. I barely knew anything about Harry except he was new to the school and extremely good looking. Did I really just think that? Yes, yes I did. What is wrong with me.
