A/N: To Purgatory with it, Imma edit it how I want, lol.

I sat there in my castle, annoyed and suffocating from the solitude; I killed all of my remaining servants ages ago, so now I'm facing the crisis of being bored. I will neither confirm nor deny whether or not the loneliness gets to me—although I can admit I've named one of the walls Clarence, and we've had a break up recently.

She says I wasn't available for her, and that I didn't show her the affection or attention she needed—though I'm not sure how I show any of that to a wall. Do you like, stroke it or something? While I contemplated how to make a wall happy and whether or not I was going insane, I felt a prickle down my neck.

The unexpected had happened; A presence entered the area surrounding my castle.

An overwhelmingly powerful presence. A fun one...

Curious, I decided to investigate this potentially amusing power.

Perhaps they could provide me with amusement and alleviate at least some of my boredom—stalking someone sure as Purgatory beats dating a stupid wall named Clarence. I leisurely walked to the main hall and foyer area where the power was coming from, and used some of my shadow magic to open the door for whoever it was.

I have to be hospitable to my guest; I don't want them to leave.

The identity of the one who foolishly stepped through the opened doorway was a surprise. The Supreme Deity herself?

Oh yes, this will be fun; better than Clarence anyway.

She was looking around with a sharp gaze, her body full of tension and overflowing with caution with every step, indicating that she was using her sense of unease to become 100% alert. I found that to be impressive for a lower life form; someone like me has never had to use any of those cowardly tactics, since unlike her and Clarence, I can take care of myself.

I'm completely fine alone.

Still, I chose to be courteous like the gentleman my dear old dad made me to be, and used my shadow walking ability and night ability to move in the shadows silently and to cover my presence. I don't want to scare away my entertainment and  meal, now do I?

No, I am not a sadist, shut up Clarence! I just like playing cat and mouse.

"So," I whispered in behind her ear as I ignored the silent wall, "what brings you and your filthily appetizing blood to my castle, Your Holiness?"

She flinched and her platinum blond hair swirled as she turned to face me, but I was already gone. Shadows move quick you know.

"Oh demon," she boomed, "whoever you are, show yourself this instant! Come out of the shadows now, I demand it!"

I chuckled at her idiotic outburst. If they had a leader like this are the Goddess's like... okay? I'm kinda curious now, on whether they're on the decline, or if by some miracle they're prosperous.

Playing along with her holier-than-thou ideology, I loftily replied with the prideful tone of a superior being, "And why would I do that Your Holiness? I'd rather you not try and kill me just yet. Everyone knows that you are the one who instigated this Holy War—which for all I know is still going on. Besides, this is my castle, my territory. Your authority is less than the dirt at my feet, and your powers won't work here."
