Chapter 13

Lexi's P.O.V.

School the next day was boring as always. At lunch I decided that I just couldn't wait until last period and I had to see Colton. As I walk into his class room I notice that he's not in here. I look up at the clock and notice that I have five minutes until lunch is over. Walking out of Colton's class room I heard giggling across the hall in Mrs. Layne's room. I walked closer to see what it was about. Right when I did I wish I hadn't, Colton was standing in front of the door kissing Mrs. Layne. I didn't know what to do, all I could feel was my heart being shattered to a million pieces. I could hear the bell ring in the background but I couldn't control what I was doing. I had to get out of here, I couldn't breathe. 

As I pulled out of the school parking lot I couldn't stop the tears. Why would he do that? Was the whole weekend we just had a joke to him? I bet when I was crying over not having a family to enjoy all the little things with he was laughing on the inside while I was breaking. I texted Jake and told him that I was going away for a few days and I should be back before graduation I was just going to my special place for a while. Jake was the only one who knew what I meant when I said my special place. 

The plane ride from Texas to London England took quite a long time. I slept most of the way there. Its been a while since I've been here but I guess now's better then never. As the bus stopped in front of the white and blue two story house I felt all my emotions come out. I walked up to the door a knocked. As the person on the other side opened the door I couldn't help but fall apart. 

"Lexi, Goodness child what on earth are you doing here, whats the matter baby?" My grandmother asked.

"I-Im sorry I didn't call or text to let you know I was coming I just needed to get away from everything. I'll leave to go backk h-home of you want me to. I just couldn't stand being there all alone anymore and I needed to get away" I told her.

"Heavens no baby you can stay for as long as you need to sweetheart" She said wrapping her arms around me.

"Now come on in and tell Nanny whats the matter." So that's exactly what I did, I told her everything about me and Colton.

"I understand if your disappointed in me. I know that he's my teacher and all but I couldn't help it.

"Honey I'm not disappointed in you at all. In fact I extremely proud of you. You have gone through so much in the last year and you deserve to be happy no matter what the cause of the is" She said making us more tea. 

After three more cups of tea and 5 long talks later I finally decided to call it a night. I walked up stairs and into the room and me and Matt used to sleep in when we were littler. God I missed him so much. With our parents always gone it was always just us, we did everything together. After going down memory lane I called Jake.

"Lexi babe are you okay? Did you make it to England okay?" he asked panicked.

"Yes Jacob I'm okay and yes I made it here okay. How's everything going on? Did you tell Mandy where I was?" 

"No I didn't think you would want me to since you didn't tell her yourself. She noticed you were gone though. And I think Colton does to. In class he tried calling you like 40 times, of course no one else knew who he was calling but I did. He was really concerned, He couldn't even think straight."

"I know I ignored all his calls. I don't want to talk to him."

"Maybe you should just hear him out Lex, He looked really bad."

"No Jake, I'm not ready to talk to him or hear his excuses. I'll talk to you in a few days, If you need anything before than just call me. Goodnight Jake I love you"

"Goodnight Lexi I love you too" With that I hung up and I let sleep take over me.
