I ran. My feet pounded the pavement in time with my heart. I rounded the last corner, three blocks away from my apartment. I ran in the door and straight to the shower. I quickly peeled off my sweaty tank top and jogging pants and got into the icy shower.

20 minutes later I dragged myself out of the shower and back into my bedroom to get dressed for the day. I stood at my closet , wearing only a towel, looking for a dress to wear. Tan arms snaked their way around my waist, my husband's head resting on my shoulder.

"Good morning, beautiful." He said kissing my neck.

"Happy anniversary, sweetheart." I whispered back, turning to kiss his cheek. "What has my wonderful husband planned for today?"

"Now, if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise." he said, removing his arms and walking to our bed in the center of the room.

"At least tell me what to wear, then?" he sighed, feigning aggravation, and walked to the closet to pull out a sun dress and swimsuit. "Ooo, swimming!" I cheered as he chuckled.

"Anything where I get to see my beautiful wife almost naked." he winked and wiggles his eyebrows as I hit him in the arm.
