<<I'm gonna catch you!>>Antônio yelled playfully as Jamie ran towards the exit of the bar.

He giggled and opened the door to leave.
Antônio was looking exhausted as he had chased him all around the bar.

A car was coming and Jamie looked back at Antônio to check if he was still chasing him.

<<JAMIE NO!>>Cleo screamed and everyone turned to look at her.

The time paused. Her heart stopped beating.Her eyes wide open.Her ears were ringing.

Jamie was grabbed by a man and was safely put back at the pavement.
A tear escaped Cleo's eyes.
She run towards Jamie and fell to her knees,she hugged him tightly.
She looked up and saw Charles staring at her shocked.
She gulped.
Her heart started beating again.
Jamie started sobbing in her arms.

<<Thank you.>>she mouthed at Charles and he nodded blushing slightly.

As soon as Jamie calmed down she left him in the hands of a shocked Antônio.
Her hands were still trembling.

<<Uh..I..>>he said awkwardly and she wiped her face.

<<Let's go get coffee.I'll explain.>>she said and grabbed her bag.

He nodded and gulped.
Her eyes were still teary.Her stomach still tied up.

They went to a cafe two blocks away.
He kept stealing glances at her.

A part of her hated that he was the one to save Jamie. Another though,was too glad Jamie was alive.

<<He's my nephew.>>she said staring at her mug.

<<Oh.>>Charles exclaimed and Cleo glanced at his frowning face.

She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it again.

He messed with his mug and she pressed her lips together.

<<I.>>her voice broke and he lifted his head to look at her.

<<I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for you.>>she said and he could see the grieve in her eyes.

<<It was nothing.. really.>>he said looking away.

She could hear her heart beating.

<<It wasn't nothing.It was everything.>>
she said and he looked at her.

He cleared his throat.

<<Thank you, anyways.>>she spoke softly this time.

<<You're welcome.>>he said his pale skin turning pink.

The atmosphere was awkward and Charles decided to break the ice.

<<Is it too soon to make an offer?>>he joked and Cleo looked at him.

His heart stopped and he instantly regretted what had just come out of his mouth.
He was about to apologize when she started laughing.

<<You're impossible!>>she said in between her laughs.

He smiled proudly.He had made her laugh.

Her hand pushed his shoulder playfully.. and as soon as she realized what she had done.She stopped laughing and cleared her throat.

<<Um...do you want to eat anything?>>
she asked blushing.

And he smirked.

<<I should get going.>> he said getting up.

He lifted his hand to call the waiter.

<<Don't bother.I already took care of the bill when you went to fetch your wallet.>>
she said and he smiled.

<<Very well,then.>>he said and picked his stuff up.

<<By the way.Why were you outside the bar today?>>she asked and got up.

He looked at her and smiled.

<<I was there to tell you,that I'm done pursuing your store.>>he said and she raised her eyebrows.

<<How so?>>she asked curiously.

<<Better offer.>>he answered and she chuckled.

<<Well...I'm gonna miss our fights.>>she said smirking.

<<I can still come by and fight with you if you like.It's quite refreshing.>>he said and winked at her.

She chuckled.

<<Come by, whenever you want.
I'm always angry.>>she joked and he chuckled.

<<I know.>>he said playfully and she rolled her eyes.

<<Mr Jones.>>she said raising her hand.

<<Ms Smith.>>he shaked her hand and they both smiled.

She took her stuff and escorted him to his car.

<<By the way who's the unlucky owner who'll have to endure you and your money?>>she asked playfully and he rolled her eyes.

<<It's a grandma.I think she likes me.
She wears all these weird dresses when I'm around.>>he said frowning and she chuckled.

<<Awww.Old people love!So romantic!>> she joked and he chuckled.

<<I'm still young!>>he exclaimed and she laughed.

<<Sure...grandpa!>>she said and he smirked.

<<A hot grandpa though,right?>>he asked seductively and she chuckled.

<<Dream on,paps!>>she said and he laughed.

With one last wave of his hand he was gone.

She return on the store with a frown on her face, her mind filled with thoughts.

She opened the door and noticed Jaimies sleeping figure.

She sat next to him and took him in her arms.

<<Don't ever do that to me again,  okay? >> she whispered at Jamie and he nodded lying on her chest and hugging her tightly.

<<I was so scared.>>she murmured.

<<I love you,you know that right?>>she asked softly and he nodded.

<<I love you too aunt Cleo.>>he said and she smiled.

She continued massasing his back until he fell asleep.

She lay him down on a special bedroom she made him years ago and let him sleep.

As she walked out of the room, her mind kept going back to Charles.
