She was sitting in the police station, unmoving. Her eyes were staring blankly at the floor, not meeting anyone else's gazes. She'd run out of tears about an hour ago, so now she had tear racks running down her face. Not that she cared, her entire world had come crashing down in just two hours.
"Ms. Grayson-Wayne, we brought you your school uniform, and your toiletries. As well as your school work, and your phone." A female officer said, as she handed her her backpack. Reyna didn't move, or acknowledge the officer. The woman sighed, and set her backpack down on the ground next to her chair, then walked away.
"I've told you, I'm innocent!" Bruce's voice said, her head snapped up. Her eyes widened when she saw her adoptive father being led out of the precinct. She bolted to her feet, and ran to him. Nobody expected her to do this, so nobody stopped her from ramming into Bruce to give him a hug.
"Hey, you're not allowed to interact with prisoners!" A officer said, and they began to pull her away from Bruce. She was struggling against them, desperately trying to get back to her dad.
"Let me go, let me go. Dad!" Reyna Shouted, and Jim watched Reyna in sadness.
"Reyna, it'll be ok. I'll be ok, please, please listen to Commissioner Gordon. I love you Reyna." He Said, before he was escorted away.
"I love you to dad." Reyna whispered, as her struggling stopped. She was escorted back to her chair, and she resumed sitting in it, and staring blankly at the floor. Her hand was gripping the locket that Bruce gave her on her seventh birthday, desperately praying that Bruce was gonna be alright.
"Ms. Grayson-Wayne, your foster family is here." Jim told her, and she looked up and saw a man and woman approach her.
"This is Janet and Michal Chase, you're gonna be living with them from now on." Jim told her, and she just robotically grabbed her backpack and stood up.
"We are so happy that you'll be a part of our family from now on, and we hope you learn to accept your new life." Janet told her, and then they led her out of the precinct. To their apartment, where she learned her neighbor was Artemis.
"We've been given a list of your previous activities, and have been told which ones you're still allowed to continue. They are the following; school at Gotham Academy, and two days a week with one friend." Michal told her, and her heart dropped. She couldn't do anything anymore, that wasn't fair.
"What about helping local charities?" She asked them, Janet scoffed.
"Like they'd let a circus freak like you continue to influence the people of our home?" Janet shot back, and she felt like a bullet pierced her heart.
"I understand." She Said, but then Michal has his hand against her throat. She gasped for breath, as she felt her airways get blocked.
"Listen here brat, you will address us as Sir and Ma'am. We will not stand for any of your Romani trash, and you work for your food and bed here. Is that understood?!!" He Said, Reyna nodded her head.
"Yes Sir." She gasped out, and he let go. She fell to her knees, and gasped for air.
"Good, now, get out of our sight." He spat at her, she scrambled to her feet.
