Chapter 4: Uproar

'Breaking news in Gotham city, an attempted murder was thwarted. The culprits, all juvenile girls.' The reporter said, and this got the team's attention.

'Earlier today, young Reyna Grayson-Wayne attempted to murder her foster family. According to police reports, she had two accomplices. Artemis Croc, daughter of former Huntress. And Barbra Gordon, the daughter of the Commissioner of GCPD.' The lady said, but the team was frozen. Artemis was arrested?

'Here's footage from the scene.' She said, and it showed an apartment complex in Gotham. The team watched as Reyna Grayson was being dragged by two officers, with her hands handcuffed behind her back. Then Artemis arrived, and she looked alarmed. Reyna started screaming her name, as Artemis was then handcuffed. But Reyna was shoved into a police car, and she was crying. Artemis was shouting she was innocent, and she looked scared. Then, it showed the arrest of Barbra Gordon. She was tackled to the ground before they handcuffed her and threw her into the police car, with her dad shouting for answers.

'It's hard to believe that three promising young women could do such a horrible act. Especially Reyna, she was Gotham's.' But the TV was turned off, by Wally. He was shaking with anger, and the others weren't much better.

"We're getting to the bottom of this shit, and dining out what the hell happened. Artemis isn't her family, she wouldn't do such a thing." Wally Said, through clenched teeth.

"Yeah, and Reyna's family was murdered in front of her eyes. Why would she try to murder her foster parents?" Zatanna added, the teams decision was unanimous. They were going to free Artemis, and the two other girls. They even managed to get Roy to help them, before they headed to Gotham.

"Reyna, just answer the question. Why did you try to murder the family that took you in three months ago?" Asked Detective Dune, she just looked at him.

"I didn't, they almost killed me last night. I wouldn't try to kill anybody, I help people!" She shouted, But the man slammed his hands down on the table. Making her recoil in fear, but aggravating her injuries tremendously.

"If you help people, then we wouldn't be here now would we?!? So answer the goddam question you good for nothing Romani trash, why would you try to kill two kind people?" The Detective demanded, and Reyna couldn't stop her tears.

"I'm innocent! I didn't try to kill anybody, I didn't hurt them!" She shouted, as some tears fell from her eyes, but the detective slapped her face. Her head jerked to the side, and a good sized bruise was left behind.

"Stop lying, all the evidence points to you trying to kill Janet and Michal Chase. So make this easier on everyone, tell us why you did it kid. It could save you some jail time." He told her, but she just looked at him.

"I'm telling you the truth, I didn't do anything!" She Shouted, he sighed.

"Well, looks like you're gonna be spending a long time in Arkham." He Said, and her eyes widened.

"I'm not a legal adult, I can't be sent to a prison of adults." She Said, but he smirked.

"Juvenile detention center is getting crowded, besides, a little time facing big girl punishments might just make you rethink doing this again, and lying about what you did." The cop said, before he turned around. Reyna's eyes were wide with terror, this was beyond crooked. This was insane!

The guards grabbed her, and escorted her to a holding cell. However, en route, they took her to a new interrogation room. Inside the room, Roy Harper the clone stood waiting.

"Thank you, I've got it from here." He told the cops, they nodded and then left them. She sat down, and looked at the man she saw as her big brother in fear.
