War Declared

"Your Highness!" 

The soldier runs inside and quickly kneels down.

"Your Highness, our spy witnessed Yui's daughter has finally wakened the curse!" the soldier looks up at his King.

The King sat up from his chair, shocked from the news. He couldn't help but put a grin on his face. "Finally, even at such a young age the curse would awaken, just like my daughter and sons. I think I should pay them a visit, and have their daughter finally meet her great grandfather."

"Azumi! Calm down!" I use my powers to block the blow from Azumi. "You need to relax, and control it." I yell out. 

"Yui!" 

I turn my head to see Ayato and Yukio running towards me. I was getting distracted, and Azumi threw a chair with the power at me. I was too late to activate my ability, and the chair hit me. I fell, but quickly got back up again.

"The curse is awakened. Azumi can't control it, if she doesn't learn she tear the castle apart. We need to sleep." I said looking at Yukio and Ayato.

Yukio nods, and quickly rushes inside the room. I activate my ability, and used it to let Yukio in without getting hurt. Yukio kneels down in front of Azumi, and activates his ability, with a gentle swift he puts her to sleep. Everything stops, things were no longer moving around. Yukio carries Azumi, Ayato helps Reiji and Ruki wake up. I just fell to my knees.

It's over...the curse is awakened, grandfather will declare war, and then destroy everything, and use me as his weapon. He will also have Azumi turn, he will make her stand by him. 

I clench my fists, and looked down. I fail from letting the curse break.

"Yui..."

That voice, my vision starts to get blurry, and I remember falling and Ayato yelling out my name. I open my eyes, but everything was white, I wasn't in the castle. I must still be sleeping. I slowly stood up, and looked around.

"Yui.."

I turn around to face a woman with long beautiful blonde hair, and red eyes. She was wearing a beautiful red traditional kimono, she wore red lipstick, and orange mixed with red eye shadow. The woman steps closer to me, and gently touches my cheek. I then have a feeling, like I know this woman. Wait...she looks like...that same woman in the picture that I found back at the Sakamaki mansion. This woman, she was holding me in her arms. Could it be...

"My...you've grown...into a strong and beautiful woman. I'm so glad that you were able to reach my hearing." 

"Mother?" 

"Yes, Yui it's me your mother. For the past few years I've been looking over you. And after all these years, I finally get to reach you..." 

My mother...she is my mother! I felt tears forming in my eyes, and I couldn't hold back. I hug my mother and my tears soon fell. My mother hugged me back. We enjoy the moment, before gently pulling apart.  

"Yui, I know that Azumi's curse is now awakened. But don't be scared, teach Azumi to control her powers. It may take time but please, you must teach her to use the powers for good. She must live, she must carry out the power that your father and the ancestors had carried for so many years."

"Mother is there a chance that father is still alive? And you?"

"I cannot answer that, but in the future you will learn. Yui I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it across the bridge, when I dropped you in the water...I felt such a failure in protecting my daughter..."

"No mother don't say that, you did everything you could to protect me. Trust me I know...as for me I feel like I also failed to protect my daughter. Grandfather will declare war and destroy everything that father created. I don't want to lose the people I love."

"Yui, you need to fight for the village, you must protect them all. The fate of the world must not fall in your grandfather's hands. Now go Yui, they're waiting for you to wake up."  

My mother says backing up, giving me a smile. Everything turns white, I open my eyes. I was in my room Ayato and Yukio were beside my bed. 

"Yui!" Ayato says in relief.

I sat up from my head, and rub my head. "I saw our mother." I looked at Yukio and he looks at me with shock.

"What did you say?" Yukio says kneeing down beside me. 

"I saw our mother, and she told me that I need to control Azumi's powers."

"Did she tell you if she is alive and our father?" 

"She said she can't answer that and to wait for the future. Our mother...I believe she is really alive." I shed tears from happiness. I then look at Yukio and smiled at him. He aslo looks at me and smiles. Tears of happiness also run down from his face. Yukio and I hugged each other, and both of us was happy to know she is alive.

We broke our hug, when one of our guards came in, panting from running. "Queen Yui, your grandfather is outside of the barrier, he requests to see you." 

...

Yukio, Ayato, and I walk close to the barrier, close to my grandfather, who was waiting patiently with my uncle. Our guards were close to us, just in case something bad might happen. "Yui, I heard you have a daughter, and she finally awakened the curse, where is she?"

"My daughter will not see you, nor will she ever see a monster like you."

"I know why you're here grandfather, and I won't let you lay a finger on my daughter." I said angrily.

"Then you know I'm declaring war."

"We know you are old man, no matter what the cost we will kill you." Yukio says.

"Watch yourself boy, show him respect." my uncle says to Yukio.

"How can I show him respect when he is declaring war, and threatening us."

"Grandfather, I swear to you. I will not let you take this village that my father created. I won't let you take my daughter. If you wish to declare war so be it, but I won't let you destroy everything I love. I swear I will kill you."

Ayato, Yukio, and I take my leave, and walk towards the guards. "Find the spy, and bring him to me." I said walking away along with Ayato and Yukio.

He declared war...now I must be prepared for it...
