As the red headed girl with the dirty rag came in between the two cars, the world went back into normal motion. I blinked rapidly to gain focus of my surroundings again.

"I'll take that as a yes?" After he said this, the car roared to life making me jump slightly. "Look, I didn't make you get into this car."

"I know." I nodded looking at him. "I know," I repeated.

He gave me a weird look. The look that you get when someone thinks you're crazy. There was a loud knock on the windshield which made me jump again. It was the red headed girl and she looked impatient.

"Oh right." Niall said, looking back at her and beeped twice. She gave him a thumbs up and returned to her place in the middle of the vehicles. Now, Niall's left hand gripped the steering wheel tightly, so tight I'm almost positive his knuckles were white under those leather gloves. His right hand was on the gear, and his eyes narrowed. He seemed to be hyper focused on the road in front of him. Slowly, the girl raised the rag up above her head. Giving one last glance at each driver.

"This won't take long. I beat this punk every year."

She looked, once again at the two drivers and I could tell they were both growing impatient. Finally, she threw the rag down onto the ground and even before it hit the floor, Niall put it in drive and we shot up the dirt road. My head flung back onto the head cushion. Taking a major head start, we started at our first turn, Mark biting the dust behind us.

"Reyna..." A voice woke me up. I opened my eyes and sat up looking around me. I was laying in the dirt and Niall looked down at me. He was kneeling next to me.

"What...what happened?" I groaned as my head started pounding.

"You passed out," he laughed. "Scared the living shit out of me but you're fine now."

"Why am I on the floor? Where are we? Did you win the race?"

Instead of answering my questions, he just rolled his eyes and got up from the dirty ground. There was lots of orange dirt everywhere and it was very hot outside. It felt like a desert. He brushed off his black jeans and helped me up, hurling me off the ground.

"You passed out," he repeated. "So I had to get out of the car to give you some mouth to mouth..."

"You can stop now." I was close to puking and made a gagging noise just to tease him.

"You looked like you were loving it." He flashed me a grin and walked a couple feet away, to his bright red mustang. I have to admit I love the car. Maybe driving so fast in it isn't my thing but I can still admire it.

Then it hit me. "Why the hell would you have to give me mouth to mouth-"

He laughed wholeheartedly. I've never heard him laugh so hard. I watched his eyes squint as he laughed and admired his straight, white teeth. He wiped a small tear from the corner of his eye. "I didn't give you CPR babe, I was only joking."

I followed his lead and sat on the hood of the car, staring out in front of me. We were on the mountain, and below us was the most breathtaking thing I've ever seen. A whole city right before our eyes. It looked so much smaller from way up here. You could see the city lights shine brightly, contrasting with the darkness of the night sky. Not a very big, busy city, but still just as beautiful. I will probably never forget this view, this sight. I only wish it was with someone pleasant. I looked over at the person that I partly despise. He seemed lost in everything, staring straight ahead. His ocean blue eyes take in everything at once.

"I come up here all the time. To think, and stare at this little city outside Tampa. It's so secluded and quiet there." He doesn't look over at me.
