Guy’s returned. He’s put the Live 2012 audio on. Probably just to keep me going and buy some time. Will’s still arguing with the doctors. Guy soon joined in with him. If we somehow get through this, I think finishing that silly little album will seem so much easier. Will’s losing it.
“No, just look! Look there. Watch!” The audio stopped for a few seconds. What is Guy doing now? Oh, it’s back on. “See? We can get him out! Guy, what did they say about Jonny?”
“They just said to leave it with them but didn’t say if he was coming.” Oh, please tell me he is. If he’s not then this really is it. Someone’s just come bursting in. Please let that be Jonny. My dear, sweet Jon, who I love so much, so much it hurts, please let it be you!
“Sorry, sorry, we came as fast as we could.” Oh my God. It is Jonny! Jon’s back! “Why the fuck you playing Live 2012 off your laptop, Guy?” HAHA‼ That’s what I thought at first, Jonny! I still can’t say anything like that, but I’m gonna do something. I can feel it. My eyes are getting lighter. “Chris! GUYS, LOOK!” Yes. This is it. I’m coming up. Almost there… “Chris!” At last I could open up my eyes. I can see Jonny again. I gazed straight into Jon’s sweet, green eyes. “I thought I’d lost you forever…” Me too, Jonny. Me too.
“You saved him, Jon.” Guy turned off the laptop. “Today would probably have been the end without you.”
“He’s right,” Will added. “You’re a hero, Jonny.” He was always my hero anyway, Will. “And as soon as he gets a bit better he can get the truth out about what happened.”
“They might not be interested in a statement from him by then…”
“You don’t know that yet. The main thing is that Chris is back.”
