*Three months ago*
Sam's POV
It has been two weeks since I woke up and left the hospital, longing for the comfort of my house. And around those weeks I've been trying really hard to process and apprehend what all happened roughly a month ago. I assure you I tried my best to like, really take it all in, but erratically I still cannot believe what all happened. For me it was just too much 'cause I have never ever been in a situation like, near that before. Like, ever. For me, it was unimaginable.
Wondering what am I talking about? Well, firstly I have been in a coma for maybe like a month ago. And because of that I lost my memory. Amnesia. But luckily, the doctors said it's only temporary and my memories will soon return eventually. So, yeah. I just got out a few weeks ago. And I'm here grasping all the things together. Barely.
My aunt Bella said I was in a coma because I was found in a car crash, where I was barely freakin' breathing. I know, it's sick. And for some reason, they told me that I was actually with someone during the accident. And we both ended in the same hospital with the same state. But providently, I was the one who woke up first with poorly no memory with! While the other guy is still unconscious in his hospital-room.
And just two days ago, me and aunt Bella went to visit or figure out who was 'the guy' with me. We both turned out meeting his friends and relatives, and of course they didn't missed the chance to ask me a bunch of questions. For one, they asked me who I was to him, the guy. But unfortunately for them, I explained to them that because of my amnesia I still can't figure out who was he to me, too. So yeah, that was pretty much how my week has been. Catching up all the details in my life, hardly.
And recently, I have been hanging out with this girl named Jewel because aunt Bella has work to do. And Jewel claims that she's actually my best friend. First, it was quite uncomfortable for me and I was a bit shy around her, but eventually she made it easy for me.
She told me all about our history, where she said that we became friends in middle school, how we always stick around to each other, how we always go out every Saturday to hang out, entitling that we're like a literal siblings. And it made me feel really, really glad 'cause I'm friend's with an amazing person. It just added some sweetness in my sour-bland situation.
Yeah. Everyday, she always comes to my house to hangout and pretty much we just watch TV, eat snacks, and catch up. And I came to know that she's actually from a rich family. But that's not just it, she's also one of the most popular person in our school. And boy, I was shocked. It's funny 'cause how did I became best friend's with a rich and popular girl. It's just another thing to process again. And no wonder she's popular, she's so freaking pretty, and tall, and has this blooming personality. Whoever she'll end up with is a luck guy.
And eventually, it came to me. Why was I just friend with a girl again? You know what I mean? Why?... She then eventually told me that actually, I was a matter of fact... gay! And, my god! That freakin' shocked me. I was not expecting that at all. I began to get paranoid. Thinking that does aunt Bella know? Does everybody know? But that got all answered 'cause Jewel said everyone knows. And aunt Bella is really cool with it, fortunately. Thank god! It made me feel better.
. . .
"Sammy sweety, I'm here!", I heard Jewel shouted fancily, storming in to my house. Great! I really needed the company. "What are you doing?", she asked dazedly, walking towards the living room, seeing I was being a couch potato. "Uh. Watching, duh.", I answered blankly, munching on my precious snacks.
"Well, you better get ready.", she demanded, sitting next to me and eyes at me. What's it with her? "Why? Where are we going?", I asked confusedly. As you can see I have no idea what she's babbling about. And she displayed a shocked face. "Out, you idiot. It's Saturday! We're supposed to go out, remember?" She recalled, glaring at me. Crap! I totally forgot about that. "Oh... yeah." I said, playing dumb. She only looked at me sarcastically. Yep, she knew I forgot. "Go shower already." She demanded again. "Okay, I'm going." I answered trying to not get annoyed. Sheesh. I'm sorry. I gently walked up to my room, grabbing my towel and headed to the bathroom... After a while, I was finished showering then I quickly got changed. Wearing an oversized comfy hoody and pure black jeans. Wait! Don't come for me, don't hate me. This is my style. After that I wore my brown Timberlands and walked downstairs. And I saw Jewel stole my seat and eating my snacks. "You pig!" I screamed sarcastically. She looked back at me and later looked shocked. What? Was that too much? "Wow, Sammy!" She cried excitedly, kneeling up on the couch. "You look freaking hot!" She cried again. I was a bit taken aback of what she said. But I think she's just joking. "Whatever. Let's go." I said, grabbing my phone and keys on the table. "You look so cute!" She shouted. God, stop it already. I actually look cheap right now compared to this rich girl with me. It's plainly embarrassing.
"Where are we going?" I asked Jewel just as we entered her black luxurious car. Ooh, fancy. "Anywhere, darling." She answered ironically as we both buckled our seatbelts on. Then she began to drive.
Here goes a wild day.
Oh. In case you're wondering, I luckily don't get paranoid over cars, you know, 'cause of the accident. I fortunately don't have any phobias over it. I don't even know if there were one, a car phobia. What I'm trying to say is... I'm okay! Tee hee!
"Should we get some snacks first?" Jewel suggested kindly while driving. "Of course, rich girl." I answered sarcastically smiling at her, she rolled her eyes. Haha. Duh, of course we should get snacks first. "Where are we going then?" I asked, wrinkling my forehead. She glanced at me, "First, we're going to Starbucks to buy some drinks or maybe some snacks, too. Then we'll head to the mall." Ooh, sure. Starbucks. I mean, why not? I mused sarcastically. I can't even afford one of those! Well, girlie is here though, so it's all good. Tee hee!. "Okay." I approved delightfully with a little bit of sarcasm. Hahaha!
. . .
"Ugh! God in heaven!" I exclaimed after sipping this sweet, fantastic, glorious pink drink. It's so heavenly. I'm abruptly in cloud nine. I heard Jewel giggling at my reaction. "You really forgot, huh?" She ragged at me. Whatever. I rolled my eyes at her and in response she giggled again. Yeah, well you'll be in an amnesia then, pig. She's poking fun at me because this pinky drink in Starbucks is actually my staple treat everyday. And thank god she isn't making fun of me 'cause of the color. And I gotta admit this drink is quite luscious, no wonder it was my favorite. Oh, and get this, I'm actually a sweet tooth. That's what Jewel said. God! I feel like a child learning what some words mean. Yey! Fun. Idiot. A moment later Jewel gunned her car as we head to the mall.
