Okay maybe I should stay away from the other "extinct" creatures. They bite, scratch, and eat things like me. I'm small, I'm innocent and I am not ready to die. So stay away from me damn creatures.
As I ran away from them I ended up near a small town. A human town. I wasn't scared I was curious. As the old saying goes curiosity kills the cat. Yeah. Well I got lucky I guess. The villagers found me and instantly started attacking me. Every hit I took scared me and I don't know why. I shied back and tried to run away. I made it three steps before having a cage land over me.
"Look what we have here I have no doubt my son will love you as a stuffed animal," A man said picking up my cage. I couldn't stop the fear that rissing inside me.
He carried the cage into a house and threw it down on the ground. I tried to keep myself steady but I couldn't. I rolled around in the cage. When the man came back in he had a little even with him. He picked up the cage and looked at the boy.
"How would you like this as a stuffed animal huh? Wouldn't that be cool?" He asked.
The little kid nodded smiling and I lowered my body to the bottom of the cage. I was scared. No. I was petrified.
That night I couldn't sleep and I'm happy I couldn't. The little boy came out and walked over to my cage, that was currently sitting on the floor by the front door. He pulled something out of his pocket and started fiddling with the cage door. Soon after it opened. He quietly called me out of the cage to him.
I moved to him and let him pet me. He was gentle and it calmed me. After a while he opened the front door. I was confused was he leaving.
"Go on little one. Your safer in the forest than in the town okay. Maybe we can meet again.
I looked at him realizing he was serious. I leaped out the door and ran into the forest. I couldn't help but think of him. He helped me escape. I was thankful for him. I would never forget him. He will always live on in my memory.
