It's been two years now and I've grown a lot. My name is Miko. I am a chimera. I lead the "extinct" creatures. I am still a whimp when it comes to humans.
I lead hundreds of creatures into battles against many other mythical creature kingdoms. I have been told that I need to go to war with the humans but I'm too scared. My childhood experience with them wasn't fun. I let them control me because I was small and weak. Now I rule hundreds of powerful creatures and I still can't stand up to them.
"Alpha dinner has arrived," my second in command calls to me. I walk down and grab my portion of meat and bring it to my cave.
Ripping into the soft red flesh, and letting the blood cover my face and paws. The tender meat no doubt from a deer or elk was delightful. I let the smell of the blood drive my hunger to allow me to devour the entire piece.
Later that night I decided it was time to face my fears I gathered some of my warriors. We wandered into the village and instantly attacked all the people in sight. The adrenaline feeling rushing through me was wonderful. I enjoyed ripping through the soft flesh of humans. Feeling their beating hearts suddenly stop. Tasting their delightful blood. I loved dragging their bodies across the ground and hearing their fearful screams.
That was until one caught my ears. I looked over to see a familiar face screaming. Staring at Falcon, my third in command, who was tearing apart a males body. Before Falcon could get to the boy I jumped in front of him. I didn't understand why but my heart knew that letting him die wasn't right.  Falcon got the hint and moved on killing everyone but the boy.
As everyone left I felt my body being dragged through the bloody town to the boys home. The home of the hunter that had tried to turn me into a stuffed toy. I then realized who the boy was. He was the one that saved me. Walking through the town sorrow built up in me. I realized what I had done. I destroyed his home. His friends, his family all dead because of my stupid choice. I decided to kill them because I wanted revenge. I didn't think it would effect the one that saved my life.
I walked up to the house seeing the boy crying outside. I walked up to him and lowered down to show him I wasn't a threat to him. He was shaking and I knew what he was scared of. Me.
I stood up and looked down. Turning around I started walking away I couldn't see him scared. What happened next showed me something I never though was possible.
