Chimeras Beginning

Chapter 4

  The boy called for me to wait. I stopped and looked back as he ran to me and hugged me. I never thought my heart could feel pain without it actually being there. I didn't know what the feeling was, but I liked it. The boy gently rubbed my ears and places his head against mine. "I knew we would meet again," he said calmly.  I purred softly as he continued to rub my ears.
  Until my second in command arrived. He called for me saying we need to leave that Royal Guards were on their way. I licked the boys face and ran off into the forest after my second in command.
  Sure enough an entire army came from the Royal Palace of Gold. They asked the boy what happened and he said he couldn't remember anything. They believed him. He looked back at me and smiled.
  I whimpered as he was taken away by the guards. Falcon looked at me confused. I nudged him and we headed back to the cave where everyone else was.
  I snapped at the older "extincts" that were trying to kill the Younger ones. One of them tried to challenge me right of the back, their final mistake.
  As the young ones were being rushed to the back of the cave I dug my teeth into the neck of a hell hound. He yelped as I ripped a chunk of flesh out of his throat. I threw him across the ground and stood above him as he bled to death. I knew my fight wasn't over. The hell hounds brother jumped at me without warning. Everyone growled at him. He had made the worst mistake ever.
  We had a few ground rules that I made clear and everyone approved. One, don't kill the young one's. Two don't disobey orders of the alpha. Three, the final and most important rule, don't attack another without challenging them and it being accepted. If it's not accepted the two are to switch places if it is they will fight to submission, under alpha supervision, or death, fight with the alpha. If one of the rules are broken the creature is to be killed by its own kin.
  The hound was pinned by his own sisters and his youngest sibling was brought out. "It's time to prove your worth pup. He has ignored our most important law and he must be killed. That task is for you." I said to the pup. He nodded and looked at his brother in pity and he sunk his teeth into his brothers neck hard until her heard the snap. He let go and watched his brother die slowly. I nodded and the pup claimed his brothers title and became an apprentice under his sister's division, hunters.
