It's time. The two of us are ready to take down the kingdom and rule our world. We are heading toward the kingdom. Over the vast hills and across large plains. Destroying everything that dates to stand in our way.
As we arrive we see Luke, the king, at a chopping block. What we hear changes everything.
"Young king your people are against your decision of helping the beasts. They have gone against you and now you will pay for what you have caused our kingdom. You will be out to death for trying to keep these creatures alive. Down with the king and all the damned beasts!" A guard calls out. The entire kingdom shouts in agreement and anger at his actions. I look at Falcon and I know he understands. We have to save him.
I let out a menacing growl as he screeches loudly. He takes flight and I lead to the ground. Everyone's eyes are now on me. Fear in everyone's eyes. No one dares to move. I lock eyes with the guard that is holding the king. I growl and he throws Luke to the ground in front of me. The citizens clear a path between me and him.
The guard clears his throat and says, "I don't know what you both want nor why you are here, but if it is for him you can take him. No one stands in your way." I growl and he speaks up,
"If it's for the hound pup, the king hid him so we can't help you."
I walk forward and jump over Like and land in front of the guard. My form towers over him easily. A screech is heard from above giving the signal I needed. I instantly attacked the guards ripping the apart limb by limb. Blood covered the floor along with chunks of organs, flesh, and even bones. I turned toward the crowd as everyone screamed in horror and fear. Falcon landed next to me and screeched making everyone go silent. I jumped down next to Luke and cut the ropes free with my claws. He stood up beside me and looked at the crowd.
"You never did trust me with them. Telling me they would turn on me, kill me. I told you many times as long as no harm comes to them then everything will be fine. I can't promise anything now because I'm not the one in control. She is," he points to me after making his speech.
I growl at the crowd as they start to whisper. They all looked back over to me and Luke.
"If you can't promise us our safety then why are you still here. I knew you weren't fit to be a king you never were." A man calls out.
"That was a mistake. I can't promise you safety sir but everyone else I might be able to. I am not fit to be a king I never was I am the son of a hunter who made a choice as a kid. To set a chimera free. The town had spoke of the legends and I went against everything I was taught. They grow alongside us even if we don't see them. They have families too, and what you don't realize is that you slaughtered their family." Luke pointed to me and Falcon. " The are so much more than just monsters that are supposed to be feared. They have feelings and they have a heart. I know that. I set her free, and she repaid me for it. She saved me when my village was attacked by other creature like her. I know why she did it and I don't blame her. They aimed to kill every creature that she considered family." He looked at me. " If there is one thing that I can do to prove how much it means to me to still be alive. To have the right to be standing here it's letting her take over what I couldn't do."
The crowd was silent until a young girl called out. " I agree everyone deserves a chance no matter what you are or what you have done!" Soon more and more people chimed in. Until everyone had agreed well almost everyone.
"A monster is a monster you want proof!" He screamed and grabbed the girl that started the agreement. He pulled out a knife and that's when I snapped. I ran at him and sank my teeth into his arm making him release thee girl. I threw him into a wall, and growled. Before I could do anything the girl came up to me and hugged me. I stopped and calmed myself down.
He wants me to kill him to prove his point. The girl showed me that. I backed away and walked up to Luke.
"Everyone deserves a chance you lost yours in her eyes, but by all means let's see what everyone else thinks." Luke called out.
"He should be locked up." A woman shouts and everyone joins in. The crowd chants and yells in anger at the man for provoking me, and almost killing a child.
The few guards remaining around the area took the man away. Luke looked at me and smiled. "Thank you for everything," he whispered to me. I pressed my head to him and he pet me gently.
I looked back to Falcon and he screeched and flew up to the air. He flew off to complete our goal. I roared louder than ever and the crowd cheered.
"I say we give all the creatures a chance. They deserve it and if we give them what the deserve then we can live together. Who's with me?!!" A girl yells out. The crowd instantly agrees and chants out in joy.
Luke tapped me and led me to the castle. The guards opened the doors and let us in. They didn't close the doors and they walked away from them. I walked in and looked at the thrown.
I bright light flashed around me as I shifted human. I looked back at Luke and smiled. "We are all human in our own right," I said.
He ran to me and hugged me lifting me off the ground. I smiled and laughed as he did so. "You truly are amazing." Luke whispered to me.
Soon we heard the screech from Falcon and he landed in the castle and shifted. "They are one their way." He said to me. " Also you two should be a thing at some point. You'd be a nice couple." He smiled and shifted back and flew out.
Creature started filling the kingdom and everyone was happy. We all loved being here even sharing this kingdom with our once enemies. This is our story for sure, but it's not over yet.
