After Jeongin's little, well actually huge request, my heart felt queasy. I felt betrayed for some reason. But what was I to him? I was just his childhood friend that knew sorcery.

The sky was cloudy, darkness magnifying by the minute. Please don't rain, please don't rain, I muttered, as if it would change anything.

I quickly searched through my bag for my umbrella, preparing to take caution from the possible rainfall. After rummaging for a full minute, I gave up and just prepared myself to be drenched in cold, harsh rain.

I started to sprint on the gray concrete, hoping that I get home before it rains. As soon as I thought, water started to descend from the gloomy skies, perfectly matching with my mood. Am I one with the weather now? I laughed quietly to myself.

Why does life treat me this way? Letting me experience happiness and triumph, only to whisk it away from me with something worse. 

Like that time when I got my first honor roll award but came home to a broken laptop afterwards. Or that time during my birthday when my dog died.Ugh, I never want to reminisce those memories, they give me sharp shivers.

 But now Jeongin is in love with a girl, and is asking me to help him. Ouch, talk about adding insult to injury.

Well you might ask, why not just use the potion on him? 

Despite my temptation to use a love potion on Jeongin, I would never have the heart to do so. It'd be like living a fake life, a fake relationship. Artificial feelings, no sincerity in such sweet words. Sure, he'd treat me like his 'everything' for a month, but after that the effects wear off. Plus, it'd be hard to move on from such an experience, and I'm not that stupid to do that. Even if my selfishness prevails, I would never let it get to me.

So here I am, sulking at my own decisions. As if I wanted to hurt myself on purpose, by helping the person I love the most end up with the one he loves.
