( Oh g o d this one in particular is gonna hurt me-) 

Experiments.

Experiments.

Torture.

Subjects.

Scientists.

DreaMaker.

DreaMaker.

Four sat at his desk, he was working hard lately.

 Experiments were as harsh as he wanted them to be, research that was needed for the project was coming through far better for him than it did the speaker boxes. 

The subjects were cowering under him as he craved, he powers he obtained, the powers he was finally able to put out in this lab, it gave him a feeling of great superiority. 

 but these subjects....something was...keeping their hope up.

Oh, that pathetic, pitiful subject, the one that came out all wrong.

He was the product of an attempted shortcut for completing Project DreaMaker. The speaker boxes were trying to create some kind of 'super-subject' that would be genetically perfect and naturally powerful, automatically passing all of their tests and experiments. 

They were so confident in this mini project, the idea initially gave them so much enthusiasm they went full steam again, so much so, they promptly termed it "Project Winner." 

Winner.

Well, he was ultimately created, and...his genes were all sloppy. He didn't follow much of the criterion necessary for him to be a legit SUPER-subject, aside from well, the super strength, but, he was far too imperfect. He barely passed extreme experiments, he was a useless beige crystal, not a versatile blue fluff like they were aiming for, and well, he wasn't what was meant to be when the scientists completed Project Winner.

He was a failure.

A Loser. 

So, the speaker boxes shoved him inside a cryogenic storage tube and locked him away to oblivion. They would have just simply terminated him permanently, but, from the looks of it, they would bring out Loser's slumbering figure to newbies just as an example of what failure is.

How cruel.

Well, lucky for Loser, during the start up times for DreaMaker Mark 4, Four and X were digging in the storage chambers for any DNA or cryogenically discontinued subjects they could use to add to the new wave of subjects. In their findings, they found Loser....his data...his story...and his comatose body.

Unlike the speaker boxes and their stingy, vacuous, robotic ways, the numbers were generous, resourceful, and they saw the usefulness in each and every thing, even loser crystals...X had told the subjects about Loser...and his strength and lovely personality quickly charmed each and every object in the lab, even the nastiest and most choleric subjects fell in love with him! 

Four also had chimed in with the whole Loser thingy, His immense popularity, his super strength that aided in experiments greatly, and his sheer respect with everyone having the bizarre cognitive affect of "naturally" healing Mental Corruption.
