"Come on Pence-Pence!"

Match held Pencil's hand as they walked through the darkening night hallways, chatting as their usual routine goes.

As violent and macabre as the lab was getting, the young ladies were managing everything quite well, thanks to the fact that the scientists weren't using them at all lately for serious experiments, practically leaving them almost ignorant to the abominable direction this entire experiment was going..They were aware of their nature as subjects however, and had memories of the horrific times from the past iterations of Project DreaMaker. But now with them being almost untouched personally by the madness, Match and Pencil were feeling back to their bubbly, censorious, practically air-headed selves here in Project DreaMaker Mark 4.

"Say...how are the experiments holding up for you Match?"

Pencil looked over at Match...

"Oh uh..just a lot of like, puzzles lately..so damn stupid!"

Match tutted, pulling at her collar a bit to adjust it..

"Oh man, that freaking sucks Match! Well..I just got some physical exercises..y'know those rising and falling platforms back when we did group experiments?"

"Oh yeah that one...that was honestly fun! Especially the time we saw Spongy get trapped into an empty space, and Flower falling around without a scratch in those weird high heels!"

Match tittered, Pencil joined in..then the two sighed...Match leaned on Pencil's shoulder as they continued their venture...making Pencil look over and smile..

"Aaah...man...the lab has been utter hell lately...but as long as I have you...I'm perfectly fine!"

Pencil blushed a bit at Match's loving statement...The two wooden subjects have been together for nearly their entire lives...From their tank-bound life as tublings, they were the first true living things they'd ever see. When they were released and adjusted into life, the two of them walked each other through on exercising basic social and life skills. And whenever things grew dark with experiments...the two would always truly calm down when being with one another.

Pencil and Match were one of the truest companions among the subjects, if not...the most.

"Say...it's getting kinda late, we oughta get to our rooms.." Pencil realized, looking around at the closed lights and time.

Match looked up as well, then groaned softly, gripping Pencil's arm with both hands.

"But Pence-Pence...you know how things are getting lately...we should sleep together again!"
