Surviving LA (A Colby Brock Fanfic)

Chapter 3

After standing in shock for a few seconds I make my way into the restaurant and sit down between Kat and Colby.

Of course, he's beside me. I feel the heat on my face, but I know it's not from the large flattop in front of me.

"You ok Lu?" Devyn asks. I feel seven sets of eyes on me.

"Hm, yeah. I'm fine." I answer before grabbing the water glass in front of me and raising it to my lips.

"I went ahead and ordered for you, I hope that's ok," Kat says.

"Yeah. It's fine. You know what I like." I say.

"So, tell me about the trip," I say, forcing my attention on something other than Colby.

Soon all the guys, minus Aaron, are talking excitedly about New Zealand.

----The Next Day----

I woke up with a slight headache, I may have had a few too many shots last night. I was trying to make myself comfortable.

"Luna?" I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I call. I sit up and turn to see Kat walking into my room. She had a mug and two pills.

"You're a lifesaver," I say, reaching out for the mug and pills. I placed the pills in my mouth before taking a sip of the coffee to wash them down.

"So did you have fun last night?" she asked.

"Uh yeah," I said softly before placing the mug down on my nightstand.

"So what happened between you and Colby?"

"What do you mean?"

"I noticed you guys were the last two in the restaurant. He came in before you, and when you finally came in you were blushing. Hard."

"Oh, well I was on the phone with my parents and after I hung up I turned around and Colby was standing there."

"Ok."

"Well I asked what he was doing and he said he wanted to congratulate me in private. I said thank you and he kind of hesitated and I asked if he needed something else and he said I looked beautiful and kissed my forehead."

"He did?" she squealed.

I grimaced

"Sorry."

"It's fine. But, yes he did."

"Wow, I can't believe it."

"Why?"

"Colby isn't really one to be bold." She explained.

"He just kissed my forehead, it's not like he proposed marriage or something," I said before getting up and walking to my closet.

"I know, but it's still strange." She said.

"If you say so."

"He likes you, Luna."

"No he doesn't, he was just being nice. Besides, we don't even know each other."

"Oh because that has anything to do with love."

"Love?"

"Yes, love."

"You realize I just met him two days ago right?"

"Yes, but soon you'll be in love together and get married and have babies."

"Girl slow down. We aren't even friends yet. We're on the road to being friends. And if it progresses past that, then it does." I explain and turn toward my closet and start looking for something to wear.
