Chapter 4

Colby's POV

"No, I'm fine. Thank you though. I'm just going to go to the restroom." Luna says before shooting off the couch and walking to the bathroom.

She caught me staring at her, and everyone noticed her reaction.

"Did you have to scare her?" Kat asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask

"it's obvious she likes you brother, why don't you just ask her out instead of staring at her," Sam says.

"She doesn't like me. We don't even know each other. I think we should just become friends first and see where it goes." I say.

"You both are ridiculous," Kat exclaims.

"Why?"

"She literally said the same thing to me this morning." She answers.

"It's a sign brother, make a move," Corey says with a bright smile.

"You think I should?" I ask, weary of doing anything to make her uncomfortable.

"Yes!" they all shout at me. I sigh and make my way to the bathroom I wasn't paying attention and ran into her.

"Oh, sorry." She says and steps back.

"It's ok, I was sent to check on you," I say before I can think about it. I mentally facepalm. That's not why I came here.

"I'm fine." She says in almost a whisper.

"You sure?"

"Yep, just needed a breather." She answers with a small smile.

"Alright, well I need the bathroom so I'll see you back in there," I say before moving past her into the bathroom.

I mentally curse myself for not making a move. Maybe it just isn't the right time. I mean we just met like two days ago, and we leave for New Zealand in the morning.

I sigh and leave the bathroom. I make my way back to my seat and sit down. I notice her glancing at me but I don't make eye contact. She finally turns her attention back to the tv and we all watch the movie in silence.

Once the movie ends Elton stands and addresses the group.

"Alright kids, we all need to pack and go to bed. We have to leave bright and early for New Zealand."

"How do you know we haven't packed?" Corey asks.

"Because I know you guys." He answers.

"He's right," Sam says with a laugh.

"Alright, let's go pack," I say. We all get up and start to go our separate ways. I notice Luna walking to the door.

"Luna! Wait!" I call out to her.

She turns and waits for me to walk over to her.

"What's up?" she asks.

"Uh, would you maybe want to go exploring with Sam and me when we go to New Zealand?"

"Exploring?"

"Yeah, we do these exploration videos where we go to abandoned places and look around."

"Oh, Urban Exploring."

"Yeah."

"Sure. That sounds really fun." She says with a smile.

"Ok cool, uh see you in the morning I guess."

"Goodnight Colby." She says before turning around and walking out the door.

"Dude, you are such a wimp." I hear from behind me. I notice Elton standing there.
