Artemis' POV

"Wally!" I snapped. 

"Are you mad?" Wally asked.

"Are you mad? ARE YOU MAD?! DO NOT tell me that you actually just asked me that! Seriously, that's the stupidest question that I've ever heard! Jeez, Wally! Now you've got me fully convinced that you never graduated kindergarten! Cuz even those little five and six year olds are smarter than you!"

"Well, at least I'm not throwing a temper tantrum! All I said was that you need to stop pushing everyone away!"

"Don't you think that I'm trying?! I feel like any relationship that I'll ever have is doomed, I worry every day that if get close to you guys, you'll turn on me again!"

"That's not going to happen! We all care about you!" His voice got quieter. "I care about you, Artemis. Please, just let me help you!"

"You can't help me! I'm too broken to be fixed! Too hopeless to help!" My eyes teared up. "There's no reason to even try!"

"There is a reason to help," Wally said quietly. I looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. "You. You are the reason. You might be broken, you might feel hopeless, but you're worth it. You're beautiful. I know that you're life has been hard, but you know what?"

"What?" I asked.

"The most precious, priceless diamonds are the ones formed with the most pressure." He smiled. "You're a diamond in the rough, Artemis. You'll make it through. You've been strong enough to get here, you just have to keep going, no matter what."

"Thank you, Wally. You deserve a reward." I lifted my head and gently kissed his cheek. I pulled back, giving him a small smile, then heading to go help Megan make chocolate chip cookies like I promised I would. "Hey Kid Mouth! The cookies are mine!" I called back.

"Ah, no fair!" I couldn't help but laugh. 

You know how I said that I wasn't sure how I felt about Kid Flash anymore? Well, now I do. I'm slowly starting to fall in love with that stupid, loud-mouthed idiot named Wally West.
