You didn't exactly have many friends, and the one friend you did have...Rebekah, already knew your big secret, your only secret. Though everyone else, including Niklaus thought you hated him, you didn't, you hated yourself because you were completely and utterly in love with him. And you were going to have to tell him before Rebekah did... She had already revealed everything to Ellijah, and you couldn't risk him finding out from anyone other than yourself. The problem, was that you were quite sure he couldn't care less, and if he could, you'd be wishing he didn't. Niklaus hated you. You were certain of it.
"Y/N, that's ridiculous, I would never tell Niklaus your secret, you have nothing to worry about...I swear to you, only Ellijah knows and I did not tell him. " Rebekah looked at you earnestly and you could tell she was speaking the truth. "It's okay Bekah, I believe you. But now I need to find Ellijah before he tells Niklaus my secret. " You rushed to the mickaelson's mansion where you found Ellijah and Niklaus in the foyer.
" Ellijah, I need to speak with you."
"Y/N, If this is about your huge secret, don't bother. He knows." He looked at you with worry as you fled the room, tears threatening to break through.
You hid behind the nearest tree and watched the waterfall, it was peaceful besides your thoughts and then.. footsteps echoed. "Go away, I want to be alone." You said while wiping tears from your eyes.
"See, love, I would but I believe we need to have a chat. So let's.....chat."Niklaus?!" You responded in surprise, but then it dawned on you, he knows. He knows about my ridiculous crush. And he should know, though you- his words cut you off. "I know you didn't want me to know you were a mermaid, but it's okay. I don't care." "What?, I thought you knew about...." you shut up before you gave yourself away... and you almost did....he looked at you with a strange gleam in his eye as your heart did strange things and your face flushed with embarrassment since you were sure he noticed, and he did notice. "You thought I knew about....what? What is it you're so scared of me finding out, love?" He stepped closer until you were almost touching and your heart sped as you looked him in the eyes...it was time to tell him. "I-I..I uh, thought you kn-knew about, uh, about..." his eyes sparkled with interest, for he had never before seen you so nervous. "Y/N, why are you so afraid to tell me what's going on, Love? If you continue to delay me, I should have to kiss it out of you." He replied and his ears quirked at the sound of your heart racing, your pulse quickening, your breathing becoming laborious, and noticed sweat beginning to form...all because of that one sentence... and you knew if he kissed you, it would be over. So you gathered your courage, and let out the breath you didn't know you were holding..."Niklaus, I was scared, and I still am, I thought Ellijah told you something else, something more embarrassing to me....And, please when you hear this, do not laugh or make fun.. Rest assured it is taking everything out of me and I don't need any snark comments from you about this whole thing. There are parts to it, I can't turn, being a mermaid...it's impossible, so don't try. But my feelings are still heightened, everything bigger than it was before, and thus my slight attraction towards you has become something quite more, and my little crush on you... it goes without saying, but I'm in love with you, Niklaus. You've taken my heart, and I want you to take more.... I want you to take my virginity.."
